Hey there, very cool video. There are a few explainations as to why the game reacts like this: - "Paradox ERR" is the placeholder string returned by msg_string, the routine the game calls to get localized strings - getting weird names for high IDs is probably (haven't checked this very instance but the game does that a lot) because the game gets planet names with msg_string(ID_OF_FIRST_PLANET + current_level_id) - when out of range you just get random strings that have more or less close IDs Also, there is a leftover minimap for level25, and the level appears in the ship's level select menu when using the "Unlock all planets" code on the HD version (it's the '#' level) - you can see it by opening the minimap and changing the ID. level25 has otherwise no files left, so we may never know what it originally was.
RaC 3 is the only game in the series I want a true remastering of. 1 and 2 can have an hd port or whatever, but 3 I want it to be done from the ground up. There is so much the devs wanted to do but had little time to do it (one year)
Need modern graphics, original moveset/player inertia original story or enhanced original story, "side planets" that can make later planets a little easier and original soundtrack with a few new ones by Bergeaud or someone who can replicate the Bergeaud style
You can actually bring up the level15_cityname and # level on the regular PS3 version using a debug code in the pause menu. It is up up down down left right left right circle(unlocking all planets) And we can discover Paradox ERR to actually work as an armor-weapon using the code up up down down left right left right square(unlocking all weapons) it is hard to get Paradox ERR as I needed to make multiple save files but to unlock all weapons you need to press L3 on each weapon slot. Once activated, Paradox ERR makes you invincible, and makes your wrench huge and do instant damage to enemies around it like a nanotech upgrade would. It does crash your game after a minute though, and the save is impossible to play after you have used it. So use with caution. Another thing to note is that it only seemed to work on aquatos so keep that in mind.
I don't disbelieve that your method of activation worked, but I know for a fact that it is near unreproduceable without literally exact instructions. The way these paradox err glitches work is extremely unpredictable and you can get results such as replacing the plasma whip for the bomb glove, another weapon for the sheepinator, gravity boots, helipack, thruster pack and so much more. I hope we can figure out how they work one day, but as of now, it's beyond public knowledge.
I think that happened to me yesterday when I was putting in the code for the wrench. I misdid the code a few times, and when I was about to leave, I saw the insomniac museum and planet 15 on the ship menu. I initially thought it was cause I was about to 100% the game
I asked Mike Stout on Discord, and he said Level 15 might've been a cut space combat level, which makes sense as when I downloaded the HD collection to rip 3D models from, I saw remnants of the space combat levels in the files, if that's what the SPACE WAD files are for.
Might've been intended for Koros, because the Level 15 map looks just like Koros out-of-bounds area. Who knows, maybe Ratchet was originally intended to defeat the Biobliterator using his ship? Or even better, what if the USED Biobliterator fight was intended to happen on Koros??? Unfortunately, these questions probably are never going to be answered.
This reminds me that ratchet and clank three was partially unfinished, mostly because insomniac had to also scrape together a multiplayer version So some might also be added but scrapped levels
Really interesting video. This just reminds me of the fact that in the Galactic Map in the ship most of the planets have their names and some don't. Like for example florana but for some like kerwan or zeldrin its metropolis and crash site. I wonder if there is a reason why they are not called by the planets name.
Also if you look at the galaxy map, some of the dots don't correspond to any playable level (3 of them from memory). I assume of of them would be Veldin
Hey Rutchet. Your settings for PCSX2 are quite sub-optimal, if you want to you can check out my “beatiful” 1m long video showing the optimal settings for UYA
woah this is very interesting, the main problem I see with this video is the fact that the transitions are a little bit bland (they are ok tho) and -obviously- the text to speech. You probably don't want or don't care, but getting someone to voiceover your videos would be great! regardless, this is a pretty cool video and I encourage you to do more!

Thanks for the more in depth explanation ;)
It's the legendary Planet Ligma

@@Flesh_Wizard Atleast one side planet where you need to collect a certain item where you can trade them in for bolts
love those planets in RaC 2
Full trilogy remake with a deadlocked remaster would be ideal
@@giantcrayfish2866 It would be great, especially if released on PC so I wouldnt need to take out the old PS5 if that ever gets made.

@@TheRealBlazingDiamond it did take 7 saves to even get it to work and I've never been able to do it since so yeah I think I just got lucky

So it makes ratchet so powerful he crashes the universe. lol

I really liked this. I love the idea of stuff you're not supposed to be able to see or get to
really interesting, thanks for the video, enjoyed it
Rutchet and SnEE, the legendary duo
I've seen that a lot of menu based items function like this for UYA, but I didn't know the planet menus function like this as well. Very interesting
I always thought Multiplayer Mode had location names that were cut from Single Player Mode.
Bro!! You deserve like 1 miilion subs. This is so cool to know.
Where has this video been in my life?
Insane videos
Is there any level besides the main ones that can be playable?
There isn't as far as I know
@@Rutchet oh okay, uya was rlly my favourite game growing up and seeing sm content abt it being discovered makes me rlly happy

Those settings are definitely super-optimal, I can't afford them
Lmao this is sick, on debug if you load some of these the game straight up crashes and gives you an error (omg fatal error screaming emoji)
