@@K.G8 yeah i just started dumping hours on him this wipe and boy its no wonder so many people are also playing him. while the class is somewhat balanced the sustain is whats going to get him nerfed into the ground again.
Curious on your though on carrying a drum for ranged option. When you are chasing people just out of judgement range I can sometimes juggle a drum for good damage.
This is an awesome build! I am glad Firebox didn't give up on looking for solo cleric builds. The curses of the pact-sworn hold no terror for a servant of the light!!
Hello :) im new as Cleric and want to know: is there a build were 2h maul Cleric viable is? or is every other weapon so much better? i dont even find videos with a 2h maul :)
It's not very utilised as the move speed debuff is massive (-50) and it has a very high potential to kill your allies as well if they engage with you. It's an extremely damaging weapon for sure but the flanged mace/war hammer just outstrips it in DPS without the massive move speed debuff.
Who should i avoid while using this build? I just got 2 tapped by a bardiche barb so im thinking that i should be a bit more careful witb the fights i pick lol
You should be wary of barbarians if they are running Iron Will as this gives them a HUGE magic damage resistance boost meaning it can easily negate the huge amounts of magic damage that make this build shine.
that first warlock fight is exactly what makes me stop playing now and again, the combat being such a simple foundation for so long making movement speed and reach the only things that really matter in a fight. doesn't help clerics are the 2nd slowest class ingame (its also why you'll never see weapons like bardiche, maul, Qstaff, and many others used due to this meta) it always seemed dumb that the strat for/again it is to just take your armor OFF in order to run faster... on the other hand, this is an amazing build and a lot of clerics i know (myself as well) run a version of them in poormals alot. there's also the PVE crypts/hell one that's like months old that's even better because of faithfullness now >:D

Thinking today I will test out more builds involving Will. This might be a very strong stat now with +add being nerfed and magic resist buffed.
You could try stacking pdr and will, you can turn into a menace pretty quickly

Before you could use smite then start throwing torches and they would get the bonus damage from smite on hit.

So the fire bottle for rat form is like an instant kill? Do they just have a lot less health in that form?
Yes. Even a Curse of Pain can instantly kill a rat of ticks alone. its like 95% hp reduction in rat. I one tapped one with a torch as a rogue

Copperlight seems pretty insane currently. Worth checking out if it has appropriate rolls.
just use the normal vestment with will, ruby is mostly just drip

Even with this lighter build he kept getting kited. If you plate up you will never catch anyone. :\

Yeah combat needs a lil revamp, but its early access and now with the release on steam i believe a lot will be improved and faster.
This game is, IMO, in a much better place than it was when it originally launched on Steam years ago.
