Had a friend that worked at Holiday Inn, on the bluff in Florence, where a lot of the artists stayed when in the area and he would give us a heads up sometimes. Did manage to have a beer with Leon Russell and Carl Radle! (dry county back then!)
I’ve been listening to Sawyer Brown since I was a small kid of the 80’s. I play their music in my truck and I’m the house and my kids love them too. I went to the Rattlesnake Rodeo in Opp, AL this past weekend with absolutely no idea they were performing on Sunday. When my wife told me, I was ear to ear. The show was incredible and I was dancing and singing all the songs. I was so happy that I got to see you guys play!!! Made it truly worth going.
Wow I bought my Kia down the street from 3614 I worked at ECM and stayed with a friend just about a mile from this place. I'm so proud that such great music was recorded in Alabama and like the song says my homes in Alabama no matter where I lay my head
