In that situation, I would perform a reasonable amount of work during my working hours. If management wants you to be a workaholic refuse. If it becomes an irreconcilable difference of opinion between you and management just leave or wait to be fired depending on what works best for you.
Just do your regular ammount of work during your shift. If work is left behind, well, not your fault, you are still working your time. Do not ever work more hours.

When I here or see additional duties on a job description or interview my next statement is “So I’ll also be receiving additional pay with these additional duties correct” the silence from the interviewer is immaculate🤣🫠
