Dazs always makes us rethink the way we look at taking a fight. When i first started playing I had no idea i could leave a fight. Now after the first 10 seconds of we don’t get a knock, i have the time to check the map, check my teammates health, and decide whether we have the resources to fight this, if we need to fight this, and how we can avoid fighting this if it’s not worth it/we are at a disadvantage.
Changing perspective has saved my ass so many times 😆

This helped a lot because I just started playing and I have two other friends that I play with that are seasoned in the game but I feel that I'm the reason they get held back and I've been trying to think of what legend is best suited for our comp

Great video as always, Dazs! I feel a breakdown detailing what legends are best for players with just raw gun skill and no incentive for other game mechanics(movement) as that would probably help newer and intermediate players understand that removing the movement role from someone who is willing to perform those mechanics and not performing them yourself ruins team comp, especially since most of the movement players will just lock in a second Skirmisher. The lower elos definitely do not seem to understand why certain legends are played and just play who they like(doing this in pubs is fine but in ranked I feel real comps place higher and have more KP than people with favourite character syndrome.)
TL;DR The biggest issue with team comps in Gold and below is a general lack of understanding of what legends do and do not work well together and then other legends who are pretty much strictly for Solo play for the last 5 seasons(Octane is just worse Horizon as an example for ranked)

As i mostly solo que i've been spamming vantage so i can 3rd party and try to get some knocks from far. Most games randoms just arent working in plat most times.

Rough being Caustic and Wattson main. Can't even play for zone because placement points are now abysmal - you need to be top 5 just to go positive in RP.

As I m quite new in the game I have a question if you are interested in this comment:
You mentionned something like "if you are a team that loot fast and rotate quickly you could play a more control team".
And my team and I would like to be able to do so but i dont really find content about how to loot fast and take decisions in the early game (about weapons/stuff, at what timing take the consoles and so on).
I think looting fast correctly ( in a team) is harder than expected so if you have certain videos/contents to advice it would be really helpful and appreciated !

There isn't really a way to loot fast wrong lol. Just land at different building unless there are 2-3 teams or more in the area where u land meaning u need to stick together.
Once you get more knowledgeable in the game you will be able to pinpoint the approximate area where zone will end early in the game which is where you want to rotate to. There will be other teams doing the same which is where u can get your early kp.
Obviously a lot of knowledge you will gain just by playing the game but early macro decisions can be very hard to make so don't be to hard on yourself friend :) (If you have any more specific questions just lmk)

As a Wattson main, it sucks to see no one play valk in ranked. I always have to land in the middle of the map when solo queueing because nobody picks any good rotation legends. Especially on super open maps like Olympus, a character like Valk or at least Pathfinder can help with those open field rotations.
I main valk very hard and ypu cant believe how many games i won just saving entire squad with my ult and my mobility during games
I was a lifeline main... But I switched to loba cause of loot and repositioning....

i love the vid but what about maggie what you think about her in ranked
She has an ability to get in an out, she is strong. Can put pressure, bunker bust, and why I mentioned is easier for solo queuing. "Easier". Not meaning its a bad thing. She has power behind her just gotta be mindful her movement is horizontal not vertical. Why I mention play to your strengths.
I'm not sure I agree that this is a list of best legends for ranked. It's more of a list of which legends are the best at disengaging from a fight. Lifeline especially is very helpful for solo queue ranked since you don't know if you're teammates will be any good so being able to craft banners and revive automatically lets you use teammates as bullet sponges if nothing else or enables you to reset if your squad suicidally charges into 4 teams and gets instantly knocked.
Please don’t get hung up on the list. Why there is a disclaimer. My goal is to teach a theme of what is the best legends for ranked. But really for you as a player.
Why I mention several things. You can hit masters with any legend.
But also explaining if you are mechanically strong in certain areas what that means for the “theme” of that legend.
Just because I say its “easier”. I keep putting quotes doesn’t mean its bad.
Lifeline is still more stand your ground, which for some is not always ideal. So why she still remains where she is for the theme.
Goal is to reinforce these themes so the video never goes out of style on its goal to teach a player to fish rather than feed them the fish.
But where your head is at is exactly how I want players to think. Because you are now playing to your potential strengths you want to provide to your squad and skill set and doing exactly what I set out to do for this video.
