It’s way more agreegious in XV2 though. This game you use it to pepper your opponent with damage or close the gap if you don’t wanna dash in. Or to keep someone from sparking. Xenoverse you do it to start combos, stun your opponent, and cancel out of your combos. That’s ridiculous
@j3xanime could be a mix of that too but if u press vanishing strike during your opponents combo at the right time or spam it with enough ki, you can make your opponents combo drop.
Yup it is have fought my fair share of these bug abusers. It’s not the combo dropping but folks spamming vanishing assault you can literally see an entire ki bar go as they are getting hit

i don't know why no one uses dash pursuits and only uses the vanish pursuits, not only is dashing ones harder to vanish it is about the same damage too, like yeah you use a little ki but it is better than getting into a constant z-war

Either ditch this nonsense DP health, defense, & damage difference and make each character three health bars with equal damage in Ranked, or deny the meta characters. Both solve the silliness of uphill battles in a mode that should be balanced. Or, hell, take that into account in the points you earn/lose at the end of each round and ignore each player's rank. I.E. if you are playing ssj Goten against DBS Blue Gogeta, you lose significantly less points or gain more than a similarly DP stated character.
the reason your combos keep dropping is because there is a bug where if you spam vanishing strike mid combo your opponents combos dont track. That is why when your combos drop you can see the opponent lose a bar of ki

Wild sense needs a change to where you can see your opponent use 2 skill costs for it. That way you know they've used it and counter with vanishes mid combo better. Either that or nerf the damage you get off of it maybe?

honestly with the new patch it was a breeze to get to Z with gotenks (base) afterimage is just a hard counter to wild sense spammers and i love it.
