Superb! All the play value of a Japanese top in the edo koma tradition, but in modern design and materials. Finding the right balance between play value, visual design at rest, visual effects at speed, desired spin-down behavior, and spin time is the fundamental challenge in top design. This top definitely hits the mark. Also enjoyed the suspense. Couldn't see exactly where you were headed with this top until 8:55.
it would make the 10 minute mark if you could somehow make it detach from it's top part. Because it makes it top heavy and create air drag, making it run slightly off centered, the square top part also limits your rope length, making it topple earlier than it should have to. I think it could even add as much as an additional minute if you could figure out a way to loose it. Still this is an amazing feat of precision machining, thank you for sharing.
Just found your channel.. and guess what constantly seen all your videos.. remarkable work in every video.. seriously you derserve lot of subscriber.. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I think you could easily beat this record by replacing the pin on the bottom for a sphere. But I like the fact that you made it a gyroscope as well. Very great and well made
Great skill and work. Love it. You might want to try beating the Japanese spinning top competition. Their record is 18:56 search the video "supreme skills spinning top"
MsSomeonenew it’s not really possible to balance the bearings, there’s always a tiny bit of slop (or lash IIRC) in them, and thus the little cube they are mounted in is going to run slightly eccentric.
It would have spun longer if it didnt have a Cube thingy on top wich is slowing down the roation. There may be a ball Baring in between but even then as we saw friction alone made it spin along. And Friction in the Atmosphere thanks to the Flat surface of the Cube thingy slowed the overall rotation down.
man thats impressive and your top is beautiful but i bet it would spin longer if the spinning jig at the top was more aerodynamic. A cylindrical jig with smaller holes perhaps. id like to see what % of improvement could be had but i do like the idea of the top being a one piece situation.
I want to start a channel where I go find the 34 thumbs down people on a video as beautiful and positively received as this and ask the 34 people; who hurt you?
That is incredibly well balanced. Every gyroscope I ever owned would fall over in a minute or two. Well done!
I didn't expect you here
This is my second channel for English-speaking audiences.
Левша thank you
hahaha wtf is wrong with you
I wana buy everything u make. Its very interesting
Ok, I'm impressed. At first it didn't look like the top was spinning well at all and then it just found it's groove. Great stuff!
"Yeah, I guess I'll watch it but I'm not really into tops." ... 7 minutes later: "WHAT!?! THAT'S AMAZING!"
U dont deserve even a single dislike
This is my second channel. )

We must burn those who dislike your videos.
You are so fortunate to have the time and equipment to do this, great music!

That's really cool! Love the twisted string to start it spinning
incredible that it started as a bait block out of a floor jack. salute!
I love the gyroscopic precession. And that top is so shiny :)
Simple construction and super precise made! Beautiful result!
amazing how watching stuff being made can be so enthralling.
I wish i could give this two thumbs up, totally awesome engineering.

Can these be bought? They are amazing and your work is out of this world well done

Have you seen this spiking toy with leds that count the number of laps the toy do? It will be awesome to do something like that
That demo of it working tilted could keep a math student busy for a minute.
We're all in the inception.
for 10 minutes
no, this is real dream
Hey google my toy keeps spinning, what level of inception am I on?
I really would love one of these to teach all my younger family members about the power of centrifical forces.

Nice! Should make a concave stand for it to run. Maybe from glass to lower the friction even more.
Your creativity, art, patient, tools. I wanna kiss your forehead man.god bless you
Maybe some oil on the tip would give it a little more time? I've used a drill to spin tops...they go for a lonnnnng time?
Not a toy. Precision machinery. I would save up to buy this. Great job. Beautiful work.
do you sell your inventions? they are awesome!
How are you doing 2-way movements (forward and left) at the same time so smoothly to make curves?
Wonderful build.
Excellent craftsmanship. Never stop dreaming and always try to do better all the time. Gob bless.
6:40 DAMNIT IM STUCK IN AN INCEPTION DREAM!!! ... Oh wait, it finally fell 😂
Such a beautiful chrome finnish.
Make the cube round and there will be less resistance. Will spin longer maybe.
Awesome all i could think is about was the movie inception are we in a dream lol great video
damn i wish i had the machines you used, that was a sweet spinner, cool style and very well made! good one bro.
Try using a base of graphite to spin on to see if it will improve the run time any
Well done on the infinity top
Actually, its more amazing you stoppped the clock at an exact second
Can u give the specification of thickness and size. Even I want to try and make it.
INCEPTION! WE’RE ALL IN A DREAM
Great, stable and very well designed
Are these available for purchase anywhere??
The music were awesome 😂
How much would you take for making me one of these?! That thing is beautiful.
Wow. Thank you for the great videos. Love the top and the lighters.can we see more please?
Amazing skills, thanks for taking the time to share 👍
Amazing, i would seriously consider selling these, it beats the classic fidget by far...

how much for one ?? may I buy one ?
The surface on what it spins is also very important to take into consideration.
It could spin longer if you took away the cube on top and made a globe instead, to take away all the resistance :) Great vid
IdubbbzPC I'm gay daba de dabe da
Where can i buy one of these since i dont have a lathe?
Spin it on a hard steel plate with a drop of oil at the point. I made one vary similar to yours years ago and got over 15min spin time.
What if you make the center of mass far outside the flywheel?
Creative man ever!
Wow its ultimate spinner ever i seen
What about all the metal shreds
You have to add 3 or 4 seconds...the time gap from starting the spin until starting the stop watch^^
wouldnt it have spun much longer with the starting device detachable?
Since it makes noise at full speed there must still be balancing issues.
MsSomeonenew it’s not really possible to balance the bearings, there’s always a tiny bit of slop (or lash IIRC) in them, and thus the little cube they are mounted in is going to run slightly eccentric.
Cube was unnecessary, just added air drag and limited the pull string

Brooooo this video so good it made people try to give it 2 likes by turning they phones upside down... Woah. :0

I just feel like theres resistance up at the top.
Where can I buy one?
How it is still on position?
Wow he stopped the timer exactly at 9:53:00. Awesome
Beautiful, magnificent top
I so desperately want one of these!!!
do you sell any of your items that you make?
WOW , this is just BEAUTIFUL ;]
I want to start a channel where I go find the 34 thumbs down people on a video as beautiful and positively received as this and ask the 34 people; who hurt you?
I think ye should!
I think it's best to take their thumbs away, until they've earned thumb privileges again...
They were repeatedly dropped as babies.
Where can we buy this ??
Vsauce did a vid on why the top is self stabilizing
So cool! Now can we turn it into a beyblade
Does this mean hes still stuck in the dream?
Gorgeous!
Wow, I need something like this!
such a masterpiece
Can I buy one?
It's cool dude awesome
"your metal stock was already square when you bought it? what a skrub."
Wauw like like the second spin.
Very cool.
I'll pay you to make me one of these!!
name of the music in the beginning?
DUDE I WANT TO BUY ONE!!!
are you sell this stuff sir ?
super awesome.......
This spinner belongs to thanos😁😁😁😁😁
How much? I need it.
better than fidget spinner 👏
Nice work
That's awesome
Very impressive
Great work
8:15 that is extremely interesting.
这个陀螺真好玩,让我想起了小时候
I thought this was an automotive expansion valve from the thumbnail
Fitting everything with CA glue.... lol :D
Do you sell these?? I really want one O.O
