It's also tricky giving someone a compliment when you meet. They may think you have ulterior motives or that you only see them in a shallow way, especially if you're speaking about their appearance. "Oh, you're so pretty/handsome" may be the truth, but it's probably not a good start to your first conversation. And when you're meeting relatives of a friend, you might want to avoid comparing your friend to them. Someone is likely to feel slighted, unless you're complimentary to everyone. "I can see that intelligence runs in your family." The safest course of action may be to the old favorite, "I've heard so much about you; it's nice to finally meet you." Or, if it's a "cold contact," start with something about yourself. "I'm from X, so I'm still learning my way around."

I'm in Japan now, at the small town Suzuka, where we participated in the another race of this weirdest season. It's a very warm weather here, no storm, no thunder 'n' other some kind of disaster, luckily.
What were you doing the last next months while we don't chatting? I'm curious...
@@DaveSmith90559 wow! Now you’re in Japan. In Japanese, it’s almost summer now? Here, in Sri Lanka, actually we don’t have seasonal changes including summer, winter..... how are you doing your things in a warm climate? Are you ok?
Great video! Would you make a video about Wish statements, please? Thanks.
Hey! Would u make a video about when to put "Do" in an afirmative sentence, please? That's something that for me (as a spanish speaker) is really difficult to understand.
Thanks for the feedback Paula! Here is a video I did in the past, let me know if this helps? ua-cam.com/video/A2ncygNMaFo/v-deo.html
