All the Russian top tier aircraft are lacking. Their flight models are wrong, their weapons are wrong, the amount of countermeasures they receive is also wrong, and obviously western counterparts will be better but gaijin doesn’t even attempt to make them equal for the game’s sake. Take yak-141 for example, holds R60Ms and R-27s even though it could carry R73s in real life. The Su-27 also has 3x times the amount of countermeasures in real life, and R77s have a range of 80km (50 miles) in real life yet they have less range than an R73. So no, if you want to be on the losing side of a battle, take Russian aircraft.
@@TorstenP-cq4gl it is true as gaijin does become fucking scumbags sometimes but I've seen them trying to fix all the radar shit countermeasures and the range of the r73s and r77s I mean gaijin is kinda greedy with Russia even though they are a russian company, if they add more aircraft to the USSR tech tree it would actually feel better to grind but I've seen them working more on America so basically you are right but all of the things you said about the su 27 flanker is right but it is getting fixed and shit by war thunder as it is just a fucking game.

I say the USSR is lacking because most of the top tier vehicles flight models are way too similar where they lose more speed than they should in turns and they’re focused way to much in pulling high amounts of AoA which is also inaccurate. The su27 is supposed to be a monster at dogfighting yet any delta wing can dogfight it and win because the Su-27s low speed handling is atrocious. So yeah top tier absolutely sucks. Also not to mention the MiG-29SMTs fight performance is not good either. The Su-27 has 3 times the amount of countermeasures in real life, and R77s don’t have the range of an IR missile.

Def underperforming just look, got killed from a blindspot and by a tree, that plane should totally not get destroyed by that and those missiles, should turn even harder, not over 180º of turn, not good enough its underpowered as long as it cannot outturn every single plane AND reach the furthest with its missiles, being good but not best at EVERYTHING is not acceptable
Why are you complaining about the Su-27sm’s missile capacity? I mean I understand it’s not accurate in real life but also its radar is not good enough to make effective use of all its missiles. So while your Aim-120s hit 7/8 times, I’ll be stuck with my garbage R77s that only hit 1/8 missile launches, and no I’m launching them in Ideal aspects at close range.

How do you get the radar lock on your mouse cursor keybind?
its called hmd, helmet mounted display and only exists on certain vehicles, check the pilot in the xray sight in the hangar to see if they have it
