It's on purpose. If they satisfy the consumer fully then they satisfy that consumer out of the market completely instead of having them continually buying in an unending quest to acquire the perfect device that will never come. It is not incompetence at all that leaves a void for a device that is the perfect execution of function, form and price...it's a direct intentional choice
I think the price point has something to do with it combined with the fact they probably have to work with the parts they can get for cheap. There's also knowledge in the community that surprisingly either the engineer or people in charge of manufacturing don't have. Case in point make sure the pivot in your dpad is high enough to get a good feel. Recent examples are the A30 and the cheap dpads that come with the AMOLED Game boy Pocket kits
Hey! im new to this hobby and get easly lost with all the handhelds there are on the market and dont really know the power scale works for them, something like "this is a PS1 or under" dont really know how to picture it on my head. Could you make a video detailing a scale on each 2024 handheld power, related to up to what they can reletable emulate? maybe with an expected price for each scale. If not do you know if there is any kind of table related to this? Thanks!
Is not that hard, but I understand the confusion: unless is a device from retroid or the anbernic devices with 5 and 6 on the final number (ex 505 and 556), the PS1 is the console that they can run all it's catalogue of games. The most basic devices that only play until PS1 library is the Rg35xx and the Miyoo mini (and plus); if you want some easy games from the N64/DC/PSP library, you get any device with a RK3326 chip (there's a lot, but the more famous one is the RG351 and nowadays the R36S); then you have some other handhelds that increase in power but maintain the same library limitation on the H700 (the Rg35xx plus/H and the new Rg28xx) and the RK3566 (RG353 and RGB30 are the famous ones in this chipset). Don't know if this will help, but maybe will make easier to understand the big picture
About the handheld side, the most common and cheap ones (50-60 USD range) have the RK3326. The only odd ones from the cheap side are the Rg35xx plus and H that has more power (increasing the games that you can play) and the trimui smart pro, that have a chip on par with the 3326, but better community engagement
I had an insane thought while watching this video; why don't they make micro consoles that run off Wear OS? Wear OS is basically cut down Android made to make the most out of the weak SoCs and small batteries that smartwatches come with; but it's still enough Android that it can run Android's emulators and games just fine.
There is a lot to hate on the ACE, but let me just start with the fact that I spent $159.99 on the ACE. I know what yall are thinking "At least you got an RK3588S out of it." It's definitely not worth 240+, though. Linux is where the RK3588s shines in its usability; android was honestly the worst decision for gao and just a braindead move that wasted precious time and resources. He'd have had much more time to work out the QA if he just stuck with linux and was likely the linchpin that ended up killing its potential and the brand imho. So far I've completely modified my ACE to get it usuable and it's not that bad honestly... it just shows that it had a ton of potential... also, the "team" behind gameforce is actually just one guy, gao fung. I honestly think he was not kidding about running out of money, he got crushed by price escalation on almost every component he was trying to crame into the handheld. It's honestly the reality a first mover makes in this industry; now amplify it for someone attempting to take it on by themselves (in the case of the ACE being first to the 3588 on android and on a handheld...) going with the RK3588S and doing android was just big dick energy gone wrong in the end.
Gameforce is just waiting they have an "ace" up their sleeve.
*Pure Sarcasm*
Ole dirty joey freezing the stellar blade video on the arse shot 😂😂
Give the fans what they want!
@@JoeysRetroHandhelds gotta get those likes and subs somehow
Me, who was only listening to the video "I need to evaluate the veracity of this gentleman's writing"
Imagine having all of these wonderful handheld options under $160 and landing on a game force ace😭
The relationship between Ace owners and Game Force is still a better love story than "Twilight".
I am mad disappointed with mine man... only turned it on once, upon receiving it to see whether it worked and never again
I am really disappointed to see every small handheld is having some sort of compromise. Why can't we just get it right?

Love how you paused the video at that time there lol 14:18
You saw nothing :)
I love the music of the news. I couldn't resist, an orange 28xx is coming. I hope the magix sucks, I'm out of money. Aliexpress owes me €100!
@JoeysRetroHandhelds When a stable version of KINULLI is released, will you be doing a setup video for the TrimUI Smart Pro?
Likely!
The vowel before a geminated consonant is usually short. Not Knu-lly. Rather Knul-ly. That would be my guess.
great content as always bro

Gamma is doing something similar using Android TV OS, which will be very interesting.

Android seems to be hit or miss (and more often miss than hit) on most RK devices.
Triggering my PTSD Joey… 😂
I blame you!
Your about to Take Mr Sujano's job in a Min, lol
Note to self stay away from the Gameforce/Gamefarce 😅
Dude as soon as they delayed it I cancelled!
Better order all those chinese devices quick judging the result of recent China/USA relationships.
