@@theretrogeek2281 not sure, but apparently iCade used to work like a keyboard and that's how it was recognized by iOS. So out of curiosity, I tried using a bluetooth keyboard I had laying around and it works in RetroArch. Was able to play Third Strike with it. If your iPad can still recognize the iCade then I suggest trying it out, maybe it will work just like my keyboard.
P.S. If you tap "Save Game Remap File" instead, RetroArch will automatically reload those inputs the next time you play the game, so you don't even have to go to the settings next time!
