- This is Lacey talking & the song "So I Thought." Video is a little wobbly because I didn't want the security guys to see me recording so I had to act like I was just taking photos. ;o) But the audio is awesome.

This was my daughter Kristi's favorite song of Flyleaf. Sadly and tragically our beloved daughter took her own life over the relationship she was in. Our dear Kristi left a note expressing how she felt there wasn't a way out of it! We never knew and the family where she lived never mentioned her earlier attempts either! All I can say to anyone who's in this type of relationship just please speak to someone! Anyone! Please! You are loved more than you know and your absence will forever be the burden your loved ones carry with them the rest of their lives! The hollow ache in my heart never ceases. You are missed more than I can say dearest daughter! Love Pops

On April 3, 2010 (the day before Easter) I had a stroke while vacuuming my car out. I didn’t know it at the time but I had torn an artery in my neck two weeks prior. A small scab/clot had formed inside the artery wall and after some time it broke loose and traveled up into my head where it blocked the blood flow to my cerebellum. I managed to make it out of my car and turn the vacuum off before collapsing in agony on the driveway. Miraculously, just a couple minutes later my stepfather pulled up and found me on the ground and rushed me to the hospital. I most likely would have died had he not come by when he did.
31 days later I found myself leaning on a walking cane in a small intimate venue with several hundred other souls. In front of me was Lacey and she was delivering a similar sermon with the song playing gently in the background just like in this video. I found it an incredibly personal and surreal moment given her message and the fact that I had endured so much pain and had come so close to dying just a few weeks prior. I wept at the beauty of the gentle melody and her words.
Lacey's testimonies are always so full of love and acceptance. It just warms my heart to see someone like her front such a successful rock band (previously at least) and still focus on the people who listen to their music. This song has also always been a song that touched my heart.
Solipsism and smugness is supposed to be 'love' and 'acceptance'?

this is really one of my favorite things in the entire world. it makes me feel not so alone in life. she is truly just such an amazing person.
I got into Flyleaf when I was in seventh grade five years ago, and I will forever wish that I could see them in concert.

this video has me in tears, her message to her audience is beyond powerful, God showed Himself to her so she didnt end her life so young, so she could fullfil her purpose in life and , to give us her gift of music, through it, show us that you maybe at your lowest in life but its not the end, He will always be there when no one else will be

I love Lacey so much I was at this show, I really wish I could see flyleaf again, but here it is 2021 and the world is ending, wish I would have cherished these moments more.
I'm going to miss her in the band so much. Lacey is my idol. I would love to meet her in real life and have a conversation, she's just so inspirational, I don't know where I'd be without her

Wow, i was sitting here reading the comments about ppl crying while watching this, thinking yeah it's alright, and then as i continued watching i realized i had tears falling down my face...this is exactly what i needed to hear...everything she said, not just the song, which says enough as it is

I love flyleaf and think they are a great band. But I hate all this goddy shit. I'm a millitant athiest and sometimes I struggle with watching their live videos to be honest. I'd love to see them live but i worry about all the preaching. Its a shame.
