My speeds are exactly as advertised but when I offload something it does not give me same speeds , it drops suddenly to 30-40 Mbps (m.2 pcie 4) but onloading is pretty okay Can anyone help please?
I'm not sure if you still reply to comments on this video, but when i tried this, it said that the kernel logger failed to start. Do you have any idea why this might happen?
my ssd speed shows 20 something megabytes per second... my hdd shows 1.7 mb/s and my external hd shows 33 mbps... wth is going on? why are the speeds so much lower than expected?
Sometimes its all connection capacity. For example, my computer is a little older so therefore my mother-board is also older. So even though my SSD *technically* can perform up to 2,000 MB/s in both read & write. To achieve that, It requires a USB C Gen 3.2 Gen 2 to fully optimize. However, my best USB Plug-In is a USB Type C 3.1 Gen 2 which allows capacities up to 1 000 MB/s on both read or write. So in average use im averaging around 700-800 MB/s in both read & write, and will reach that 1K mark in heavy performance. Obviously, i did not know this at the time of purchase so i paid $400 for a SSD to only half perform. Its not the SSDs fault, i was just unaware. I recommend looking up your Mother-Board & Box specifications and ensuring that the connection link on either can actually support the full optimization of your drive. It would have saved me a few hundred dollars.
First video that populated when searching how to find read/write speed of SSD and found this, quick and to the point. Thank you!
Usually anything with terminal I assume scam but this helped see that my boot drive was horrible and the main problem... THANK YOU so much!!
Quick, Simple, To The Point. Subscribed. Thanks.
Great video thanks for the help (for anyone else who read between the lines, start the CMD prompt in admin mode or it'll close when finished)
the CMD is the best way to check ssd speed, BIG thanks.
No problem. I am glad this video helped you.
thanks for getting to the point so fast, helped me out in a fast time, thanks
Very useful, and straight to the point. Just installed a new NVME SSD and gave me a 6800mb/s and 5750mb /s speed test which is exactly as advertised.
Straight to the point and simple! Thank You and I subscribed as well.
It was quick, easy, to the point. Thanks :)
Thanks for the help brother, you are the man!
Thanks, much appreciated
thank you bro ❤
Awesome video and very helpful !
I dont know how this will help but thanks for letting me know about this!
No worries! This is good for verifying the actual performance of your solid state drive, which is much faster than a regular hard disk drive.

Awesome!!! Thank you!
i have an ssd with like 460 speed is that an m.2 speed you have there
Yea it's a M.2. My sata ssd is 530 mb/s, my M.2 ssd is 6700 mb/s
Great quick video, thank you
do you know why it crashes when i type "winsat disk"?
Hi Nikita, try doing this from Windows Powershell Instead. Alternatively, you can use CrystalDiskMark
I ran powershell as admin and it didnt crash anymore.
works for windows 10 too
Thanks for mentioning that. It does work for Windows 10 as well.
winsat disk -drive d > c:
esult.txt .. so you can just keep the results instead of dealing with an auto closing window
Thanks, I was looking through the comments because my window was auto-closing. Never occurred to me to write the output to a file. Thanks much!!
after write to txt, my txt is only blank, do you know how to deal with this?
@@nochka8498 That sounds like a permission issue, run the command prompt as admin.
Works thanks for the help :)
You're welcome!
thanks!
bro it doesn't give me results....
it just auto closes it before I get to read anything FFS typical windows crap
I'm also experiencing this issue, Is it an anti virus problem or?
Do you use win + r or open the terminal (administrator) over the windows logo? Because the former doesn't work
run as admin

best video
Holy finally
It won't let me open it it says windows cannot find wt.exe
It just gives me "drive is not valid" on the second drive.
try disk instead of disc
8/10 video
-2 points for deafening, annoying, and inappropriately squeaky sound effects. Please don't do that.
Do I have to worry about this damaging my SSD? I heard you arent supposed to defrag an SSD is this anything like that?
no it wont
