One of my first albums "Tapestry" I bought when I was 10 years old. I have been a fan ever since. The woman puts a lot of soul into her writing and playing and singing. This performance still sounds great and look how many years it's been. Timeless!!
Rare tv appearance by one of the most prolific American singer songwriters in history. The first album I ever purchased as a child was “Tapestry,” and it’s still one of my favorites to this day. Saw “Beautiful” on Broadway and it brought back so many sweet memories. Thank you Carole for influencing me and my musical career. Your music is legendary.
I have been a fan of Carole King since my parents would listen to her music back in the 70s. She's one of my all time favorites. Her lyrics are simple, but say so much. I got to meet her in person in pizza restaurant parking lot when she was stumping for John Kerry in 2004. She seemed just as nice as I thought she would be. Beautiful and talented woman.
@@iandowney4630 You are actually incorrect. She wrote the lyrics to a lot of her songs. Her earlier songs were co-written with Goffin, but many of her amazing popular songs, like You've Got a Friend and I Feel The Earth Move, were written entirely by her. In fact, most of the songs on her seminal album Tapestry, were written entirely by her. I also love many of her other albums after Tapestry, and most of those songs were written by her, though many were also collaborations with other lyricists. I actually don't like some of the earlier pop songs, like Locomotion.
Dave can’t help being irreverent Dave and we all love him for that, but he sure gave her her due reverence. A treasure for everybody Carole King. We will always have your music Carol. Thank you.
My first album was Tapestry at 12 years old. The title song with lyrics , My life has been a tapestry of rich and royal hues, what a great intro !. She has written music since she was 18 and so talented.
I am Happy l bought two Tapestry Albums, one to play , and one to save for Collectible reasons. This just so Talented Lady, We saw her in Concert at Mohegan Sun, my Husband and l a short time before l lost him to the big C. He loved Carol King we were big Fans. Thanks Carol.
They are Both So Amazing!! He is such a good & respectful Host - Blown off his feet as we all are by her amazing talent. And those band members are too incredible too😳 - Wow what alot of fun❣️❣️
I love Carole King. Period. I was introduced to her music when I was in 4th grade when Tapestry was in the rotation of LP records my teacher would play. This would be 1972/3. Thank you Miss Booth and thank you, Ms. King. Fitting moniker...King!

Carole has an impact on the soundtrack to every American’s life (and many around the world) For some she’s the opening title and for others a quiet background song but her reach is there for us all.
In the bridge of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow with James Taylor at The Troubador, they both sing a harmony with each other.
