If they fail to win, that’s a lot of money wasted. The Dodgers have 10 years to learn if the investment was worth it. Only time will tell.

Or feared Canadian taxes?
Such a stupid conversation on Ohtani, seriously Blue Jay's can't afford $700 million US. Dollars for one player lmao 🤣 😂 😆 😅
Jay's fans are just dreamers same as Jay's management 😂😂😂 seems every team and all other fans that aren't Jay's fans knew all along it was going to be the LA Dodgers were going to get Ohtani... this is why as a Canadian in Ottawa Canada 🇨🇦 Is the reason I switched cheering for Jay's 30 years ago lol
Fuckkkk!!! He was never going!!! I put a 100 dollar bet in vegas 5 months ago that heceoykd come to the dodgers. Paid me out 2k lol
YOU NEVER HAD A CHANCE
Dodgers fan here, always knew it that he would sign with the Dodgers! Screw you guys, lil homies.
Stay classy
Suck it!
All that money spent the past 30 years and 1 WS to show for it... Money well spent.
😂for the first time in plans C could be exciting 🔥🇨🇦😆
Miss out?
That's implying that they ever had a chance, which they never did.
That was just the Jay's way of stirring hope in the fan base... they had to resort to fake news.
Why would Ohtahi leave a poverty team for another poverty team?
Jays fans deserve the front office they have... bunch of bums fleecing the fans by gettting bums to play for the poverty team.
Stick to trading for duds like Varsho.
Toronto was never a destination for him!!! Toronto just like Canada is pin for greater things to happen somewhere else😊
Lmao, who would of thought
Jays duped again, or is it Trolled?
No player is worth that type of money. He’s treated like a god, but is only human. Yes, Ohtani is a great player, but he has yet to win the big prize. Remember Kawhi Leonard.? After leaving Toronto he hasn’t won anything yet. Same with Ohtani. They had a good team in the Angels, but didn’t even make the playoffs. Look at Tampa how they win every year with a collection of above average players and small payroll. The Dodgers got better on offence but won’t have his pitching next year. If they fail to win, that’s a lot of money wasted. The Dodgers have 10 years to learn if the investment was worth it. Only time will tell.
On the Dodgers and in their large market, Ohtani might be worth every penny with the incremental revenue he'll bring to Los Angeles. On Cleveland, Milwaukee, Toronto, no.
@@jamesanthony5681 He was already in LA just not the Dodgers. Ohtani generates revenue in every major league city.
@@aposthole5226 With a population of 18.5 million in the greater LA area, what market other than NYC can generate the kind of incremental revenue like the Dodgers when it comes to local radio, TV, ticket sales, jersey sales, concessions, and all other ancillary revenue streams - including the Japanese market - like the Dodgers with the Ohtani signing? Toronto? Nope. AND they stand a better chance of getting to the post season and winning it all, having won it all as recent as 2020, I believe it was.
@@jamesanthony5681 You don’t know Toronto. 4th largest city in North America and all of Canada is behind them. Canada has 40 million people. Have you watched games when Toronto plays in American cities close to the Canadian border? Close to half the crowd is cheering for them. I agree that LA and NYC generate an enormous amount of revenue but Toronto isn’t that far behind.
@@aposthole5226 I'm Canadian and I've lived in Toronto. It's a hockey city first, baseball second, albeit a very popular second since 1977, when Toronto got their franchise. Yes, I've watched and they are popular across Canada and in transborder cities like Buffalo.
Did you you know the Blue Jays own the Rogers Centre, but not the land (12.17 acres) on which it sits? The Dodgers have much deeper pockets, and own the Stadium and the land in Chavez Ravine - everything - thanks to Walter O'Malley when he moved the franchise out of Brooklyn in 1958.
Toronto is farther behind than you think, and they're handicapped by the US exchange rate where the CAD dollar currently sits at .74 USD. That's huge.
Let’s stop pretending TO is MLB legit, with a 55% marginal tax rate, customs hassles, a place to live incomparable to LA(xc next to Drizzy on bridal path) and a team full of .220 underachievers. Argos? Please…
Classic
😂😂😂😂 they never had a chance. Rogers knows how to get clicks from gullible Toronto fans. See the McDavid to Toronto campaign TSN has been running since he was drafted. 8 year extensions and McDavid being on a much much better team for a chance to win the Cup later, and it’s still going on.
Why anyone would want to come play in a 3rd world country run by a rainbow dictator is beyond me
No one wants to come to canada
How a boot that Gordon!
Otani said he didn’t want to come to Canada because because he didn’t like the taste of your sweet Tuna!
Of course! Atkins is a bum
Nothing to do with Atkins.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Not for $700 Millions! Jay’s rumours with Ohtani made Dodgers pay only $200 millions extra😂. Congrats to Dodgers fan .
Now we expect a solid star 💰😁🇨🇦
OHTANI WAS NEVER GOING TO TORONTO. IT WAS JUST ALL HYPE TO SELL VERY IGNORANT FOR FANS. THE DODGERS ARE GOING NOWHERE.
Kampf really Toronto Maple Leafs 🇩🇪mine seriously
Who care
😂thankyou Ohtani for considering us and coming to Florida to 🇨🇦
Good thing Brad Treliving wasn't conducting the negotiations. He can't even make a trade for a defenceman .
Neither could you.
Brooooo
It sure as hell matters! If you ever want to be good you have to pay for big players.
Booooooooo
I told blue jay fans he'd never come to Toronto and I was right.
Would you like a cookie? Just baked them a couple days ago they’re really good
...and then john was hit in the head by 44mm baseballs - yeouch
@@munenorikawasaki7796Why so butthurt my man?🤣
@@jimdawson9799 Huh?
@@munenorikawasaki7796 No, that's OK. Just knowing I was right is prize enough.
F him. Jays don’t need him.
Glad he went to the Dodgers! When he has no supporting cast in about 3-4 years they'll become the new Angels.
Funny! Feel for you but cmon - nothing in their history displays anything about bad team in 3-4 years!
@@mikeyposs3132 REALLY!? The ONLY 2 players signed past 2027 are Freeman and Betts. Lets see how they surround Ohtani in 3-4 years, like I said! Very possible that they become the new Angels.
@@Maitland-76 Best farm system in baseball; deep pockets; and smart management! Only Betts and Freeman?😊
You don’t know baseball then my friend, lol. The Dodgers have always been good not only because they sign big stars, but because they draft and develop rookies better than most teams. Dodgers will be fine.
He is not worth $700M for 10 years Dodgers better value that
He will never win ever he’ll be rich but never win you thi you can be the curse breaker hahHhhHhhaha u will never win
Never ever mark it from this
Point on wards he will never win and he will get injured
Shoe will neve win a title
They were never in on him for that kind of money…bullshitters
