Something that always came to my mind is how powerful Monty really is. For one, he’s got his leg strength to jump very high in the air (from the boss battle) and strong enough to leap towards the player. Then his claws rip and shred anything that gets in his way. Something many people didn’t notice is that Monty was powerful enough to hold the splash bucket, the catwalks are what broke and caused him to fall. After being shattered, with ONE ARM he is able to still leap towards the player (only one arm he uses, I know he has 2 still). Now seen in the Ruin trailer, he’s still functional with only half a body and just a damaged endoskeleton. That’s a hella tough gator.
I just thought about it, maybe the reason Roxy raceway is under construction is because it's a reference to foxys pirate cove and how it's always out of order.
Fun fact: Monty isn’t too weak to lift the giant bucket when he gets destroyed, if you look closely Monty would actually manage to lift the bucket away, but the floor itself collapses from under him. Making him fall
9:48 The reason this is happening is because decals in UE4 are 3d objects, which project the decal onto any surface within its bounding box. Because of how they work though, it's not uncommon for their bounding box to stick out of the ground slightly, causing any surfaces low down enough to gain the decal, which is what you're seeing here.
Sure it's buggy and is inadvertently funny, but the careful attentions to detail even when the player wouldn't reasonably be able to see them, are why I'd like to see this team of developers get to make the next game.
When chica hears the trash compactor click on, you can see she has drastically increased the speed shes eating the garbage so she can leave as fast as possible,but gregory happened and she got destroyed Kinda a neat detail that adds a bit of personality and life to a character
I do want to clarify that there’s no need to animate what the player is never gonna see during cutscenes (Gregory T-posing, character models clipping and so on). Animating takes a long time, so working on something that no one is gonna see is a lot wasted time.
I love these characters and definitely my favorite animatronic quartet in the series, Especially Monty! I really hope they get redemption arcs in Ruin, But I hope there’s a lot of scary parts in it too.
The slow motion happens, because initially Roxy's death scene was supposed to be playing on the Crash Cam screens above the raceway for the rest of the night.
I like how since some of these cutscenes are done in first person perspectives there isn't much detail for the rest of the body. Most likely to save time for the animation in the cutscene. Which is why if you use a free cam mode during such cutscene the Player model is just partially animated. Only scenes where it goes outside First person is possibly where the whole body is animated.
Are we just going to ignore the fact that Gregory can shove chica with the strength to send her back a couple feet? Or that fact that he just rips roxys eyes out of their sockets
I think the stretched burnt Gregory texture might have been the funny phenomenon of textures overlapping onto other models if they happen to get or be too close, I've experienced it several times with random textures suddenly on Freddy from floor mark textures to the out of order signs on doors lmfao. Idk exactly why it does this, but I'm sure it probably is due to the textures that have been doing it are ones just placed over objects and aren't necessarily part of the models that the textures are sitting on, so if anything else goes where the texture is sitting, it would shape and warp around whatever model that happens upon it. I am no expert in unreal engine four, so take my thoughts as just theories and not actually what might be happening, I'm sure however that someone else out there is far more well informed about the ins and outs of unreal engine four and could probably give a better explained and accurate answer than what I hypothesized.
For a 1sf person game, excluding a few pre animated 3rd person endings. You never see Gregory's full body model let alone his face ingame, so it baffles me why at times it sees he has facial animations, also do you even see Gregory feet\body in 1st person? Near all 1st person games opt for the floating arms \Headless body to avoid camera cliping
I don't think Roxy's leg is clipping through the kart, i think that her leg literally broke through it. As shown and implied, the crash was pretty violent, so it would make sense for the kart to be damaged as well.
Can you see what some of Daniel Mullins' games (Pony Island, The Hex and Inscryption) look like off-camera? I know the first 2 are mostly 2D, but they also have 3D stages (in Pony Island there was a short 3D cutscene after getting the ticket and there was a 3D Pony Island minigame, and The Hex has a whole chapter in 3D, Walk)

2:18 actually Monty could of saved himself from being split in half BUT the floor (idk what it’s called) couldn’t hold the weight of Monty and the bucket of balls and gave in so it’s the floor’s fault not Monty
I don't think Gregory needs to get a job at making robots or dealing with technology since he just destroys them. Kid must have the strength of the hulk. Also steel wool must hate roxy if they played her damaged cutscene 3 times zoomed in

One of the reasons why Monty is my favorite, I love him! He’s so badass! My favorite FNAF character next to Foxy.

Sure it's buggy and is inadvertently funny, but the careful attentions to detail even when the player wouldn't reasonably be able to see them, are why I'd like to see this team of developers get to make the next game.

That's because it was Monty's legs you were meant to get originally, not his claws :)
