- Y'ALL! I got to vlog and use rainbow borders in our happy place today - haven't felt so in my element in awhile. So excited for the learning to be shared with 20 new firsties in this space this year, and ready to get this show on the road. How are you starting the year? Love y'all, mean it!

You're just the cutest! I hope you have a great school year! I am glad that you get to teach in your classroom this year even without the students for the first part. The binders you're giving out are very nice for your students. As a parent, they'll appreciate how organized you are.

I use white fabric for my bulletin board backs! It stays super nice and you can wash it if needed.
Your bookshelf being missing is why i aggressively write my name on everything. It was probably a mistake because so many teachers have them

I'm so glad you found your bookshelf! The same thing happened to me when I got back into my classroom this year. My display bookshelf was missing. Thankfully, the custodians had just accidentally put it in my neighbor teacher's room after they waxed my floors.

Thank you!! Wanted the space to feel as authentic as possible when compared to the rest of the room so that when they (hopefully) are able to come in person there is consistency. 💖
I am so glad we have offices and were able to put all the things we can't use this year in our offices. It's hard to have our stuff displaced.
I have AirPods and a iPad on a “tripod” that can go up and down and it follows me around the room! I love it super easy and can be set up, charged, and put away in 30 seconds
I also don’t have AC in my building! I feel your pain- I feel like every fall when I come back after summer break half of my wall decor is sitting on the floor 🙃

I was so stressed for you to have your closet emptied and out in a pile in the gym! Our custodian does one room at a time and puts everything back in when he’s finished. If we move rooms, he moves it all to the new room. We are sooooo lucky.
That’s awesome! Honestly I like that they created that space for us and didn’t just tell us to take the furniture out - I would’ve had to keep it all in our living room or rent a storage unit.
Have you ever considered getting whiteboard contact paper to cover your green chalkboards? It would be great to have that writing space during remote learning as well. Your room looks super cute, as always 🤍
Looks so cute! I actually used fabric on my bulletin boards. It cost a little more, but I got it 50 percent off at Hobby Lobby. I’m in year 4 or having it up and it still looks brand new!
You can use flat sheets from Walmart too, super cheap and flame retardant already!

Yes slow your talking down so then we do not hear the inhale breath which gets somewhat loud! Love the desk area, also do not over think everything you do, it will all come out just fine! Have a great year! 😊

Looking great! Next time, take that old bulletin board paper and cut it into smaller pieces for the kids to use as scrap craft/drawing paper!

An extension cord is against Fire Marshall codes, because of daisy-chaining the plugs. What is NOT against Fire Marshall is a 15 or 25 foot power strip. That's what I have in my classroom.

You can get a magnetic white board to hang behind your desk for remote learning? Or use a table with the chalk board behind you??
Both great ideas! I’m thinking the doc. camera will operate as my “white board” because that is how I will teach when they are (hopefully) able to return in person. Because my windows open to allow for “air ventilation” the lack of A/C isn’t seen as a problem necessarily, so if I want some I’ll most likely have to buy it myself. We’ll see!
