It's basically the same, just a little wider neck and one more string. The most confusing thing is the orientation on the neck as you usually orient from the lowest string. When the lowest string is not the 7 anymore, but the 8 it gets a little confusing, but only in the beginning. Doesn't take to long to get used to it :)

It's all on purpose. As it's a guitar-video, the guitar is in focus. That's why everything else is kinda drowned in the guitar sound. The original mix is of course more balanced! It is ;) The POD tuner works just fine, I use that at home now as I ahve the Korg in my touring rig. The Korg is obviously better and more accurate, not to mention more visible at stage than the POD/Axe-Fx :P Definitely get a Carvin! ;)
