I freaking love these kind of interviews. It’s all about perspective, which isn’t often showcased in UA-cam videos…most of the time all the real stuff is glossed over. Appreciate your work.
14:40 the most important outtake from this entire interview "Can you finish a project?" That's what anyone that would potentially pay you wants to be absolutely certain of.
Hustle till you make it 🙌🙌🙌 inspiring story Nick, continue winning. And thanks Luc for the interview & welcome to my home country, also hope you got time experience Kenya's sights and sounds, wildebeest migration is ongoing 😃
my first gig being a photojournalist happened because I showed up to a library board meeting to document and ask people why they thought pornography was in the children's section of public libraries. Turns out, there isn't and that a huge network of organizations are fabricating this story across the US. A Journalist saw me there and introduced me to her editor and I've been slowly improving since then.. eventually I'll finish pre-production for my first actual story with the skills I'm learning from helping friends and other artists get their work out there.
I’ve also done journalism in this topic, and your claims are wrong. How would a board meeting show you what’s in the library? Go to the library and do the research. There is 100% an agenda by politically motivated people to expose children to inappropriate adult sexual topics and smut, which I’ve seen done firsthand by librarians including a transsexual librarian toward children. The bigger aspect of the problem is in public schools, being pushed directly by ideological teachers onto students, and isn’t in the public libraries. Each library will vary depending on who runs it locally.
Oh my, this is wonderful, and what's said here cuts across all creative disciplines; something Luc's channel does beautifully all the time. I loved Nick's comment that when you put out energy the universe notices and helps you on your way.
Need to buy an iPhone 6s - got it. Thanks for the advice! :D In all seriousness: Nick's story is really inspirational. Thanks to both of you for sharing it!
Everybody still watching at 22:14 feels attacked 😂. Great advice overall, I think a lot of us spend too much time dreaming and too little time doing! I often make one thing, send it to one person and then feel bad when they don't like it 🤣
As a somali myself from the diaspora, starting off the video saying the reason why you're dirtier than usual is because of my countries border is something i'd never though i'd hear from someone I admired. I'm quite disappointed in you and I hope you take your words back or at least communicate a bit more clearly

Superb’ he has a very good voice also 👍
Great piece, Luc.
Thank you!
How do u know they are good Filmmakers? The sound is good and the mics are all hidden
At 8:28, looks like his award got damaged -- it's missing the final 'a' in 'Kalasha' and the '1' in '2015.'
😅😁
Are you still in Nairobi? Remember I promised that I'd say hi ...you didn't tell me though 😀maybe you forgot but are you back already
Great Video!
Glad you enjoyed it
I'm learning a lot from you Luke
Glad to hear that!
Hello Luc. I have been following your account for a long time. I am based in Uganda but would fly to Nairobi to meet. Is it possible?
Nice!
Luck comes when you take opportunities I like that
Woow this is nice
Inspired
You don't learn film making in a book, you learn it behind a camera.
Your side profile looks like an Indian celebrity called Hrithik Roshan!
Noice!!

I doubt he meant it that way. I got he’s out there in the elements filming for hours without rest, or cleaning.
First!
Last!
Great video!
