I once served a table with a mom, dad, and young son. I came to check on them and the son goes, “refill my drink”. No please or anything. Not only that, the parents didn’t correct him for his manners either. I also hate when people think that their table is the only table you’re serving. One time I seen this man snap snap snap at a sushi chef to get his attention so that he could order. It wasn’t loud or anything. A simple “excuse me, Can i order something?”, would’ve sufficed. And don’t blame your server for your food taking long. They’re not the ones making it. Funny how people walk into an obviously crowded, full restaurant and wonder why food is taking so long. It also depends on how many orders are going through. Not every table orders the same amount of food.

Where i am from Waiters and waitress must make good money because they are the ones that are rude they completely ignore and roll their eyes sometimes. One time a waitress hit on my husband and than refused to refill my drink or even acknowledge me. Than my husband said he was ready for the check before the food got out and said he wasn't tipping, she told us we shouldn't eat out if we can't afford to tip and i told her she shouldn't expect a tip if shes not going to do her job and she walked off. Well the waiter came up and the first thing he was was "your dog is so ugly i just can't" and walked away laughing and sent someone else to take my order and i could see them all staring at us through the glass laughing and pointing showing everyone my dog. Even my dog could sense the whole restaurant was laughing at her and hung her head down. I left before ordering and wrote a bad review. The owner messged me saying that it was so awful of them to make fun of my Injured Dog at such a sensitive time for me. So i was happy he actually had a heart and i still go there.
2:17 you better preach Loni!!!! Because OLIVE GARDEN only gets paid tips. We get $2.50 per hour, but that gets eaten up in taxes! Tip your servers people. We have families TOO! If you feel like you ain't got enough to tip, then you need to either not eat so expensive, or stay home!!!🙌🏾🔥👌🏾❣
I spoke up to an arrogant date at IHOP years ago. I told him the waiter was doing well, and reminded him that this is IHOP, not the OLD EBBIT GRILLE. He was terribly rude to the young waiter and he kept threatening him that he would not get any tip at all if he didn't get him things immediately when he asked. After breakfast I told him I had to leave immediately to see a real estate client. He never called me I'm sure because he knew how uninterested I was after his rude behavior.
My dad once was being really difficult with the McDonald’s worked because he thought he ordered something extra when he didn’t and I kept telling him that he was wrong but he was so adamant that he did. He didn’t shout but I was so mad at him that I made him go back and apologise after he realised what he did.
I have a friend that is rude to the server every time we go out! She literally always finds something to complain about or have an attitude about something. I hate going out with her.
🗣🗣🗣Waiters and Waitresses get paid $2.13 an hour PLUS Tips!!! Be GOOD to your server and TIP them $5.00 per person!! Example A table of 4 people X $5.00= $20.00 TIP Congress should INCREASE HOURLY WAGES for servers!!! NEVER be rude to the Wait Staff!!
No sorry thats not accurate you tip what is considered a tip. Which is 15-20 percent . im not going to sustain you either.. Like this is the reason i would never work in food service. I know the wage it aint for me . and im not about to get mad at people for not tipping or expect they give me more than whats reasonable. Cant be ridiculous either. Get real.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 You said that Adrian. I've been in that situation before being the person saying oh but he was nice to me and OMG when my turn came around WOW the the rest was history!
I never understand shaming people for not tipping. Maybe it's not a part of the culture I had growing up. I understand why it's done but never why one is humiliated if one does not tip.
Me and my fiancé went to a restaurant it was extremely busy and only seen 4 waiters and 2 cooks, so we told them don’t worry about it take their time... we waited for 2 hours for food, told them it’s okay waited 20 minutes longer and they brought out our food then we ordered dessert and that took another 30 minutes, for 1 float, so it still wasn’t coming and I asked for the bill and just to forget about the ice cream, we waited 30 more minutes for the bill and she charged us for the ice cream then we had to wait literally another 20 minutes for her to change it to the right one.. we were pissed obviously but we paid our bill thanked them and left.. ive worked in a busy restaurant before just because i don’t now doesn’t mean i’m going to act like they’re dirt, and need to service me first. it’s hard to work for people who are entitled. I’m not there to make anyone’s life hard i’m there to eat lol
I told him he was rude to her in front of our server so she knew his behaviour was unacceptable for her to accept in the future as well. I also left him at the bar after paying MY BILL.
Never for the life of me will I understand why people are rude to waitstaff. These are the people that serve you your food. I am petty as hell. I am the type of person who, if you don't even say "please" and "thank you", I will serve you some "special sauce". I do not know how people in the service industry do it. I would never survive.
I was a waitress through high school and part of college. I dont go out with ANYONE (including family) thats rude to wait staff and who dont tip the proper amount. I went to lunch with co worker once and she didnt want to tip the proper percentage so i put in the rest and told her that we couldnt go to lunch anymore if she had a problem tipping.
I’ve had a server who treated me and my boyfriend like trash. I was just trying to get some of my favorite corn bread and i asked her hey can we get some cornbread (it’s an appetizer) and she rudely stated “it’ll come out with the food” and walked off I was polite up until the point I heard her complaint to another server about us when I had been nothing but nice the entire time, I made a complaint to the manager and turns out three other tables had complained as well. Kindness only goes so far, I thought she was having a bad day so I showed her nothing but kindness and got disrespect and angst in return. 😴😐
It depends. If I 'm eating somewhere and it takes you 30 minutes to just come to my table to ask for what I want to drink, or it takes you 2 hours to give me my order and you give me the WRONG order then we will have a problem. Some people are not well trained, some people judge you due to your age or race and overlook you or restaurants are overbooked. Either way I will ask to speak to a manager if I receive bad service. I'm not paying all this money to eat 3 hours after I was seated and to get the wrong food....
Yup. Or waiters that assume because you are a female you’re a lousy tipper so they give you horrible service while giving better service to a guy. IDK your gender but I have experienced that and I’m a pretty generous tipper. IF I get good service.
@@Momma_AL Being young, black and female is a triple threat to waiters. They think I definitely won't tip. Just their attitude is very different coming to my table. As if I cannot afford to eat there or something.
It really depends because I had this one situation. Where my mom, her boyfriend and I went to dinner and our waiter was his ex. And she ended up throwing my moms drink at her and ruining a good shirt. So you better believe my mom is not going to be polite to her. But I really don’t understand is why she would act like that. Because for one thing she got fired ,and it had been years since they dated.
I'm saying something. I even tell my man when he goes back and forth about a gift he receives "say thank you" and he does. I put people in their place. I DO NOT accept nastiness around me.
I agree with the table about being kind to servers: I have been in both sides of that situation (customer and server). I only have one small critique/criticism: I don’t think it’s always required to ask in such a “hopeful, passive” manner. I do believe Tamera and Adrienne are intending to be kind, but that specific approach “excuse me, is there any possible way you can see if our food will be ready soon?” works on the presumption that your server is kind and courteous. Otherwise, it can come off as passive and non-confrontational, and the wrong person will try to take advantage of you. It is possible to be both KIND and ASSERTIVE at the same time. Don’t come @ me; I do recognize them as confident people, but their body language was NOT and impression they made was passive. You are a strong woman; OWN your strength and approach others in a reasonable manner that makes your interests known when they are accessible to you.
I work on a cruise ship and passengers are rude all the time..most of them treat us like slaves.but when we meet the polite ones they are really nice.but with the company I work for our #1 rule is to always smile.so no matter what the passengers would get a smile.
I agree with Aid on this. My mother taught me to treat the sweeper/server with the same respect as the ceo/owner. And Tamera is very right. I could never be rude with someone who handling my food.
Had my share of rude af people when i was a waitress. People that acted as if they were better than you. That used to get on my nerves, but I didn't let their actitude bring me down. Everytime they complained i would just smile and I guess that got to them more then their rudeness got to me. Good old times...
I went on a date once where we each paid for our own meal and I was calculating the tip on mine and he was like "oh you shouldn't tip, they shouldn't get extra for what they are supposed to do" I was like 😱 he never heard from me again...... I tipped extra on mine to cover his

Adrienne looks stunning omg
I am so polite to waiters 😭😭 I always want to give them a big tip lol
When A said “Nasty” I felt that New York!
I completely respect them. They deal with enough.
I worked in a restaurant for 8 years I have never seen anyone do anything "extra" to someone's food!!!
Lol I waited until he pay the bill 🤣
My dad once was being really difficult with the McDonald’s worked because he thought he ordered something extra when he didn’t and I kept telling him that he was wrong but he was so adamant that he did. He didn’t shout but I was so mad at him that I made him go back and apologise after he realised what he did.
If my date was rude, then it’s OVER! I’m glad my Fiancé has NEVER been rude to servers. If he ever was, he wouldn’t be here.
I want a compilation of Tams “it’s not what you say it’s how you say it”
I have a friend that is rude to the server every time we go out! She literally always finds something to complain about or have an attitude about something. I hate going out with her.
Robyn B tell her something then!
🗣🗣🗣Waiters and Waitresses get paid $2.13 an hour PLUS Tips!!!
Be GOOD to your server and TIP them $5.00 per person!!
Example
A table of 4 people X $5.00= $20.00 TIP
Congress should INCREASE HOURLY WAGES for servers!!!
NEVER be rude to the Wait Staff!!
sounds like a lot of money in total they earn a lot per hour
No sorry thats not accurate you tip what is considered a tip. Which is 15-20 percent . im not going to sustain you either.. Like this is the reason i would never work in food service. I know the wage it aint for me . and im not about to get mad at people for not tipping or expect they give me more than whats reasonable. Cant be ridiculous either. Get real.
That’s right A!! “It’s just not your turn yet.”
Idk y but this episode had me weak 😂😂. Laughing through the whole clip
Me and my fiancé went to a restaurant
it was extremely busy and only seen 4 waiters and 2 cooks, so we told them don’t worry about it take their time... we waited for 2 hours for food, told them it’s okay waited 20 minutes longer and they brought out our food then we ordered dessert and that took another 30 minutes, for 1 float, so it still wasn’t coming and I asked for the bill and just to forget about the ice cream, we waited 30 more minutes for the bill and she charged us for the ice cream then we had to wait literally another 20 minutes for her to change it to the right one.. we were pissed obviously but we paid our bill thanked them and left.. ive worked in a busy restaurant before just because i don’t now doesn’t mean i’m going to act like they’re dirt, and need to service me first. it’s hard to work for people who are entitled. I’m not there to make anyone’s life hard i’m there to eat lol
I'm so happy about this topic.. I'm a server and this happens all the time
I told him he was rude to her in front of our server so she knew his behaviour was unacceptable for her to accept in the future as well. I also left him at the bar after paying MY BILL.
I feel like Loni is rude to her servers...if you have to ask “what’s rude” 🙄.
A lady brought a bell once, suuper disrespectful.
wait, WHAT?
Never for the life of me will I understand why people are rude to waitstaff. These are the people that serve you your food. I am petty as hell. I am the type of person who, if you don't even say "please" and "thank you", I will serve you some "special sauce". I do not know how people in the service industry do it. I would never survive.
I'm gonna have to say thank you and leave. He's putting me at risk of getting the special sauce too now.
Sofie Rawls I completely agree. I hate going with people who don’t tip correctly. It’s embarrassing.
Book Bag SMH ya I mean I’m not young or black but I feel you and that’s just wrong.
Jeanie’s fit is so cute
It really depends because I had this one situation. Where my mom, her boyfriend and I went to dinner and our waiter was his ex. And she ended up throwing my moms drink at her and ruining a good shirt. So you better believe my mom is not going to be polite to her. But I really don’t understand is why she would act like that. Because for one thing she got fired ,and it had been years since they dated.
The way Adrienne said Naaasty attitude 😂😂😂she felt that nasty
Completely agree with Adrienne that it is a red flag and trust and believe that is a preview of how you will be treated one day.
To me people who are rude nasty service workers are in capable of expressing empathy and honestly don't care about nothing and no body.
I say something, pay for my own meal, tip myself. Never go on another date with them
1:50 you can really hear adrienne’s NYC accent 😂😂😂
I tipped extra on mine to cover his
I'm with Tamera. I would never be rude to someone anyway but especially someone handling my food.
I dont do crazy so ill just leave I WILL NOT SIT AND WAIT MY TURN to get treated like that.Maya Angelou once said, IF THEY SHOW YOU WHO THEY ARE BELIEVE THEM. Don't wait for that person to treat you like that GET UP AND LEAVE! Don't be desprate think of you and your safety.
Adrienne speaking truth !
I’m a server. And honestly, some guest don’t even realize how rude they are coming off.
