- On episode 331 of Spittin’ Chiclets, the guys are joined by Gabriel Landeskog and Kaleb Dahlgren. Landy joined (44:16) to talk about the Avs season, growing up in Sweden, playing for Patrick Roy and tons more. The boys then broke down each division, had their usual McDavid tire pump, then moved on to discuss some more NHL news. The guys were then joined by Humboldt Broncos bus crash survivor Kaleb Dahlgren. Kaleb joined (2:10:25) to give an update on what he has been up to, to talk about the day that rocked the hockey world, and to discuss his Dahlgren’s Diabeauties Foundation. The guys wrap up the show talking about the Seattle Kraken, golf, and some movie talk.

Man this one was emotional
As soon as Kaleb was introduced, I started crying. I cried several times when that crash first happened … such a devastating tragedy. As a Canadian, hockey is part of our culture… my dad played, all my friends play… it felt personal even though it wasn’t. I’m so glad that he was able to move forward and seems to be doing well, I can’t even imagine what he’s been through. Thanks for having him on, it was really interesting to hear his perspective.

I had the same situation happen in a minor game like 20 years ago, but it wasn't a goal scoring situation. This was during the time when they went from the tag up system to no tag up and back to tag up again. The way it was explained to us, was that because the person changing caused the offsides and they never tagged up to negate it, they are considered offsides until they do. So it's a free breakout, like no tag up era, or Landeskog would have to comeback on the ice "offsides" and tag up. This rule reeks of a era when they only had chicken wire fences in the corners & nothing on the sides and guys would probably jump the boards where ever they could to get "back onside" or make line changes.

Crosby sent him signed stuff n visited him when he didn’t have too n the guy chirps him. Give me a break. Ya I get he was in a bad accident but I got news for u, I’ve lost almost 25 ppl in my life and I’m barely 33years old! I have PTSD out the ass, major depressive disorder and anxiety so bad I can barely function most days. I can’t even go on social media anymore or answer my phone because I’m so scared of seeing or hearing of another friend or family member dying. So ya I get the kid suffered a traumatic experience but geez I would kill to have a quarter of the support he’s got for all the lives I’ve seen n grieved for. I just hope u know how lucky u are man
