Grant Hill crossover was so lethal
he got Scottie Pippen good one time with that crossover
He crossed up Michael Jordan too
@@GHOST91141 that slap on the backboard after the dunk smh 🤦🏾♂️
AGREED
Wow a crossover but same as McGrady being a 1st round exit for so many years.
Stack was a beast. Homework?
But he choked in the playoffs
Good…but Never a beast
I could wait til I got my Stackhouse sixers jersey the red one
@@ehi80 Stackhouse averaged 29 points a game one year. I'd classify that as a beast. He had a handful of 50 point games too.
Stack was solid not a beast . I watched in Detroit. Yes he averaged 29 but took 25 shots a game to get it and shot 40%
Houston, stackhouse and hill. What a scary trio
Stackhouse came after Houston left
The Pistons blew it With Allan Houston they low balled him and New York was ready.
You don’t know wtf you’re talking about lol😂
Houston wasn't there... that's why why stack joined
I miss stack on the sixers for that little bit of time ... me being 35 yrs old .. he was my first favorite player for my city .. Stackhouse, Dana barros, and Derrick coleman
As a UNC fan GH was my favorite Dook player ever…hell I even bought his signature shoe when I was a young lad-
I totally agree he doesn't get hurt he might be in that Goat talk...he was 🔥
No definitely not goat convo maybe a top 30 player..
Grant hill is my favorite player of all time!! Niggas wasn't fuckin with him. He was definitely ahead of his time!!!
That's definitely what's up im glad we have a real nigga to keep it real for real
Grant use to posterize centers🔥 beast..
Hill was a beast his injury was very unfortunate...
Same attitude like Duncan on the court. They both would torch you with not much trash talking.
Grant hill was a Monster.
Had the Filas and both the home and away jersey..
Defensively, he was DPOY in College
I don't know about scary duo. Stackhouse was shooting like 38-40% from the field
When Stack was with Detroit, he was putting up a consistent 20+ points next to Grant Hill... one of those years, he averaged just under 30. If you want to pick on his field goal percentage, the only thing I'll half-heartedly agree with is that Stack was great when he was good, but he hit his ceiling fast and his skills diminished even faster. He overstayed his career.
Unc and Duke 😮... Tarheel ❤
Jerry stackhouse was good in his own right, best career was in Charlotte
Mmmm mmmm mmmm... g.hill and stack... just nasty
Matt with the, “Ummhmm,” WTF?
Cold
They were both unstoppable, we just needed that 3rd star. Koby and Shaq are the only duo’s that could win consistently.
Grant Hill a Basketball Legend
Who knows what his career woulda been minus the injuries
True
Pistons got rid of both of them and won a title
He was the next best player in the league next to Jordan if Allen Houston wouldn't of left Pistons could of won a championship
His ankle was tore up
He was definitely LeBron
Stackhouse was nice
Those teams should have been so much better
I guess you never heard a shack and Penny is a Duo huh at that time
A Carolina guy talking GREAT about a Dookie
I wish the Sixers would of let Stack stay with Iverson
Stack loved playing with G. Hill more than Iverson as he knew he was getting the pass from Hill on the fastbreak.
Iverson was not passing.
They were
GRANT STACK UNDERRATED HURT OR NOT HOFers
Believe me if Grant wouldn't gotten hurt shit be different..I'm going on record he was better than Leborn james .slice but better .
Nah
LeBron Is the Fastest player ever.....but Grant Hill Is the Quickest 6'6+ player Ever
Jerry stackhouse always thinks he was better than he actually was
💯💯💯💯👍🏿
Like lebron??? Grant Hill is more athletic and has a lot more finesse than LeBron. He also was more fun to watch
Grant was great but he couldn’t shoot that well and his defense wasn’t great. Pretty much every other aspect, he was dominant
Why were they calling him the next Jordan before injury? Grant Hill was a walking triple-double.
Lebron doesn’t have handles.
Stackhouse and Grant Hill in Detroit. What could have been? Smh. In some alternate universe, they won three championships together.
I always say if Grant Hill, T Mac & D Rose never got injured they could have been...
Don’t forget Penny
And Brandon Roy
Gred oden man…bro was drafted before one of the greatest small forwards
TMac had a full career I wish y’all would stop adding that man on these “what if” lists. He was healthy for plenty of seasons and never made it out of the first round.
Penny also!
Grant Hill drinks sprite. If you ever said that when Grant hill name comes up you old enough to know how dominant he was before he got hurt
Remember his McDonald's fries commericals
😂😂😂 FACTS!!!
Loved grant. Those og throwback pistons jerseys are classic.
As a Pistons fan The jerseys are ugly but the logo is great
N the shoes was ugly 2 but I had a pair
Yeah what classic means, just fun Brother.
They arent even og. Og jerseys is what isiah thomas wore.
@@jfearless3420 Nobody gives a fuck about those corny ass piston jerseys.
We were robbed of Grant Hill’s absolute prime but those injuries actually kind of prolonged his career later in his mid to
late 30s because there wasn’t much mileage used in his late 20s and early 30s
I grew up watching 90s pistons grant and stack were great. Shoulda kept Allan Houston too.
Imagine Allan at 2, Stack at the 3 and G Hill at the PF now that squad would go crazy
Grant Hill Penny D Rose T Mac Yao Ming
Brandon Roy
@@royhollins4232 good add, was about to say the same thing
U reaching with Yao Ming lmao
Shaun Livingston
@@go_423 you a casual then. Locked up the paint defensively and probably one of the softest touches from a big man in nba history. He had a genuine midrange and post up game too so yeah...You really a casual
Isaiah Thomas said the torch was going to be passed to Hill, but those injuries came
People seem to forget that the torch was supposed to be handed to him, when jordan leaves. He was about to be the face of nba
Na it was supposed to be penny
@@seymourplaisir nope.
@@seymourplaisirnope. It was Grant. Zeke talked about it in one inside the NBA episode with Shaq, Chuck, Reggie and others.
@@seymourplaisir Nah... Penny was Magic 2.0.
Grant crossover was a beast that's where Kobe got that first step from
Grant Hill was a beast during his time before getting injured, and with a few more years we would have truly compared him to MJ.
They were trynna find a new MJ but Grant Hill was nothing like MJ .He was not a great enough scorer to be compared to MJ people forget et was a 22ppg player
Grant Hill first six seasons in the league, he average 22pts, 8 rebounds, and 6.3 assist a game. MJ averaged more points because he had to score in order for their team to be relevant. Grant could have averaged 30pts, but chose to show his all-around game.
@@marvincoaxum772 chose to show his all around game ? Bro how many assist you think Jordan was dishing ?? Lol you acting like Jordan averaged 3 assists per game , bro please dont compare Jordan to Grant Hill bro not in the same league and I love grant hill but hes more in the Mitch Richmond ,Ray allen ,Penny range than Jordan calm down you cant even compare Hill to Kobe relax dude was not a scoring beast
GH was a BEAST!
Grant is one of my favorites. Who remember that sprite commercial? His assist was nice too.
One of Kinston, NC’s finest! Jerry Stackhouse! Four NBA players out of Kinston (Stack, Brandon Ingram, Cornbread Maxwell, Reggie Bullock).
He ain’t wanna play wit that Tar Heel 😂😂
Jerry is one of my favorite nba player
So scary at 4th seed. Not scary really. Grant was legit though. Stack was a low iq high volume shooter/scorer. 2nd best tandem? Nope. How about malone & stocton. Twin towers in SA.
Grant and Penny were way better than Kobe before the injuries, it wasn't even close.
It's all good RIP KOBE he finished his career with more success then both them it worked out the way it was supposed to.
Way better?? Smh
@@CPSeymoursSeed not as crazy as you think. That was in the 90's, Kobe couldn't touch those guys back then. Kobe could've actually used a couple years of college for his development because he wasn't ready when he came. I watched it all happen, I'm the same age as Grant Hill. Even after Kobe became great in the 00's I would still take Grant or Penny if they didn't have the devastating injuries. The college ball Hill and Penny played had them dominating as soon as they entered the league. If they stayed healthy the history of the league would've been different. Had Kobe played two years of college he would've entered dominating too.
I personally think, they and MJ were part of the reason why Kobe (God rest his soul) developed that killer instinct. He needed to have that to go against these guys and that turned him into something else.
Lol
Stackhouse isn't aging.
I thought his shooting was the weakness. Defense was always elite.
#FACTS
If it wasn't for Grant injury he probably be one of the best right now all time
Man I remember I was watching a rockets game when stack was on the pistons and they were so lethal they blew the socks off the rockets that game
HUH? Pistons were not contenders until Rick Carlisle comes. Hill was gone by then. Hill and Stackhouse had 1 season over .500 42-40. Hill & Stack had great stats
Man I love all this Detroit love the podcast is showing lately
Great 🏀Player
Still might be the quickest 1st step I’ve ever seen on a small forward.
Easy to forget how NICE Detroit was then. NBA LIVE '97? Pfft.. I was DETROIT! Stack and Hill? whew...
They would’ve been up next in the East after Jordan retired in 98 and Shaq had already left to the Lakers. What if’s 🤦🏿
He didn't have jumper from distance. His defense was solid from jump
*1995* - G. Hill led the NBA All-Star Game voting as a rookie as Jordan was out of the league.
*1996* - G. Hill led the NBA All-Star Game voting. *Michael Jordan* was 2nd in total votes
G. Hill was next. He is currently the Managing Director & Head of Team USA Basketball.
*Adam Silver,* NBA Commissioner, attended the same college (although earlier) as Grant.
Grant Hill was nice dawg
Lol 😂😂😂 he probably shouldn’t have said “grant was like Lebron” he should’ve said him and Lebron play similar. Kinda disrespectful but I get it.
Stack wanted the ball. He relished his opportunity post Grant Hill, in DET, more.
I agree 1,000% with the Lebron comparisons 👍🏾
Grant Hill was always a good defender, what is he saying? 😂
As decades go by grant will be forgotten and it’s sad. There’s many athletes in sports that had promise, and dominated for a short time, and eventually stop getting mentioned as time goes on. In 10-20 years People will look at that eras stats, championships etc.. and won’t find him. They won’t know or believe how good this guy was.
Lots of woulda coulda shouldas in the history of the nba. Roy Tarpley, Bill Walton, Vin Baker, Len Bias
I saw Jerry Stackhouse in a McDonald's in South Carolina when he was a first-semester freshman at UNC. He looked too mature to be still in his teens.
And he looks too young in this interview to be reminiscing about a long career.
No one wanted to play with this dude, selfish. Just chucked up shots at a terrible rate. Mj shoulda kept Rip and not traded for this guy. They woulda made the playoffs
Stackhouse should be the pistons head coach right now!
Let's go Grant hill no body was messing with him period!!!
Grant Hill was better than Lebron, watch GHill defense on Penny in playoffs, that's as good defense you find anyone play on Penny.
Stackhouse could’ve had a “tandem” with Iverson but his ego got in the way.
Grant Hill could do it all and was a much better passer
Leabron has the most turnovers in NBA history and in the playoffs
Pre injury Grant Hill was a more versatile offensive weapon than Lebron is.
A yo this guy thought he was better then he really was . Yo stack house wasn't that good maybe John wall good ...
Grant Alan houston was cold together !!
Yeah right. And I'm a Pistons fan since bad boys. Grant didn't want to play in Detroit and we got a title right after he left .😁
Not scary enough when you had your chance. Revisionist history
Grant Hill was a 9.5 behind Jordan 10
He left cause you were a chucker. Only cared about numbers and not wins.
Hill and penny was scary like magic and bird
I always wondered that to a man because that could have been a nice Duo
And don’t forget Shaq and penny Jerry
Detroit Bad Boyd 2
Ron Harper was elite before his injury as well
Need to get Mike Woodson on this podcast
Grant was often called the next MJ before he got hurt!
