The pocket gate is more about the triangle aspect of Mike's pocket because in an official interview with the head costumer (idk official title) she said that triangles were intentional and is a way of representing attraction so the fact that the triangle keeps consistently pointing at Will is definitely intentional

They’ve lied in the past to not spoil stuff so it’s possibly a lie but idk. I think it’s suspicious that they literally told us the date in the first episode (March 21) and then they were so excited for the next day when Mike was coming. Which is wills birthday. Idk I don’t think they really forgot Wills Birthday. Lesbianmindflayer made a good video on it.

On letter gate, what if it isn’t a letter, but is Mike talking to Will on the walkie that night when Will is already in the Upside down. These are the only words that make it through to Will. And when they do the opening scene of “a child sings a familiar song” we get this flashback moment of Will in the upside down hearing this chopped up version cut with Mike in the normal Hawkins saying his full message into his walkie just hoping Will hears this because he isn’t getting a response from Will. And this little bit of what Will hears from Mike gives him the strength to survive in the upside down 💙💛

Triangles (especially pink triangles) are associated with homosexuality. During the Holocaust, Nazis marked those they believed to be gay with inverted pink triangles. Triangles have since been reclaimed as pride symbols In an interview a costume designer from stranger things mentioned intentionally putting triangles on one of Robin, a canonically homosexual character's custom shirts as LGBTQ+ imagery. I don't have Tumblr but this is why the pocket is associated with Byler on other social media sites.
Loved the video!! I have just one question about lettergate. Why would the date be the day Will got missing? Why did they add that picture? Is the gate that Mike wrote the letter on that night, idrk what this gate is about, i always thought it was abt him writing letters in 1985.
i think it's supposed to be a theory that mike wrote the letter addressed to will when he went missing that night. i think the gate was trying to explain the redacted parts of the message, but i was also thinking, maybe it is supposed to be a walkie-talkie communication from will?
