Very useful video. As you mentioned, do not forget to lube the small O-rings on the oil filter cartridge neck and use the recommended synthetic oil. When I first replaced my filter on a 2.5tdi BPC engine, the old cartridge was compressed. So when I replaced the filter with all the O-rings lubed, I then removed it to check the neck was inserted correctly and had not compressed the cartridge. It's a bit fiddly as on my engine the top of the cartridge clips into the filter housing's plastic screw cap. But if the cap and cartridge screw down all the way by hand it is most likely properly fitted and then only requires a final torque. I've never had a crushed cartridge again.
Good video. Useful tip at the end too, I will try it.
I replaced my my sump nut too the other torch nut is a nightmare. Can you imagine ringing it. And no hex head on it. I recently served my 04 1.9 TDi transporter so easy to service. Most people fill the fuel filter with diesel if you switch on and off the ignition 5 times. It will fill up the fuel filter
Fantastic, very useful. I own a T6.1, 2.0 110 cv. I am wondering if my model is too difference and I cannot follow your procediment
Thank you for the kind comment, with the T6.1 the locating tab is similarly at the rear and is removed in the same way.
Good luck and please let me know if you need any further help
Thank you so so much for this excellent video! You’re a great teacher: you have a pleasant & un-rushed style, taking time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly without assuming we’d know “inside” type info. Really fab!
