not sure if you guys gives a damn but if you guys are bored like me atm then you can stream all of the latest movies on Instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my brother for the last weeks :)
I heard the people from c squat owns the place legally now. So thats a win, one of the points to start a squat is to adverse possesion. Thats a Battle won against the system
Dvilch dude we the the people have the numbers. Money can't beat us. But there is no better place than the one that is willing to serve and be a slave. Enter mainstream america
A lot of people in New York have been there. How is that so hard to believe? Ska, CRS, Punk, Skacore, whatever you wanna call it...some of us are still family to each other.
@ultimatedude Lol the point i'm making is some of the first punk bands, like the Ramones, were playing 3 chords for most of their material. I think maybe 3 songs have more than 3 chords.
Is it open for others to live there, and do they have to pay rent because of the legality issues? I found out about the NYC squats and it was awesome to hear that places like that exist, but then I found out about when the city wanted to evict them or something and some organization backs them now or something. I still have no idea how that works.
They own it now, it's their apartment complex. So,it's not a squat anymore. We had got invited in when we were there. I think their community room is open, but when you go up stairs, you walk by all the rooms. Which are all peoples actual apartment room. They're not really squatters now haha
Pretty embarrassed that I used to be a part of all of this. I knew all these guys and thought they were cool when I was 19. But the scene hasn't changed in that 17 years since.
Drop just a quick Google and check what that building is currently worth, much less one room in it. Every day it stays out of some yuppie's hands is a victory and amazing and more than I've ever done.
man im sorry, i misread your screen name and thought you were somebody i knew, again im sorry i totally opened my mouth and made myself out to be a dick.......i thought you were a friend of mine i met in philly from back in the train hopping days (95 through 2007).
