This is about Hindu-Muslim unity. Humanity above religion. Perhaps the old man's son had died fighting a muslim somewhere (Seems implied, not explicit) .Hence, he was rude to the muslim technician initially because of his prejudices. But the humanity of the young man won him over and his complaint with the muslim community was resolved.

Well I thought it was like his son was a soldier who was honored with an award for his valor, bravery etc. ; obviously could have easily guessed against which country; and the moment he read Imtiaz in his phone, kind of disturbed him. And that's the whole plot, like you must have noticed he emptied the water into an ordinary glass. The old guy was adamant that this guy is not going to take that laptop (something to do with you know the religion and not that the laptop was his son's possession). Finally when Imtiaz offered help, the old guy couldn't believe and felt guilty of his old obnoxious thoughts. So that was the COMPLAINT RESOLVED ..... Both countries have political unrest but the people of both the nations have sort of good relations..

His son is killed in a war which was against Pakistan which is a muslim country and then repair guy was also muslim (Imtiaz). Thats why in the begining, he was hostile towards him.

Prof, u missed the Hindu Musking angle here, his son was killed by a Muslim so he hated the technician initially.
You somehow missed the basic point. Father of the soldier is Hindu and has some bias against Muslims. Muslim technician won his trust through his gesture of sharing his phone with him and solving his problem and thus his real complaint (issue with Muslims) resolved to his satisfaction.
