China sent 10 police officers to Italy for a 3-week joint-patrol programme with their Italian counterparts on November 5, 2019.

joint patrols are not uncommon, every year in Croatia you have many joint patrols due to high influx of tourists, this explains why Italy was so badly hit with the virus, they pay a very high price for these Chinese tourists now.

Not in Beijing but in past we sent police officers in China to help them.
Here in Italy we have a consistent community of Chinese citizens, so in order to not spark diplomatic incidents, we've asked for Chinese police officers to help us vigilate over their population here.
Moreover, Italy is the first center of training for Police forces all around the globe. We train everyone who need such service.
So Chinese dissidents hiding in Italy can be caught easily
If they need to protect Chinese tourists, then they should have Italian tourist police that can speak Chinese. There’s no real reason to send police abroad to help your tourists, the Italian police would take over if a serious crime was committed anyway.

Thie Chun the point of police exchange is not to protect your citizens in foreign countries. It is to train your country’s police/ strengthen diplomatic relations.

China's Guangdong province has a significant African population so African policemen in China are needed to deal with the language barrier.

There can be a week vise free in some cities when you are transfering.
Alvin CA 144 hours only (6 days) in major cities with little chance to transfer by train... still pretty restrictive. For a 1 year residency, the immigration office retains the passport for over a month... in case of emergency you cannot leave the country unless you request a new passport to the consulate of your country, and apply again for a chinese visa while already in china... a real mess...

I think this is a marvelous example of cooperation between countries. Especially between the west and east. With the rising amount of Chinese tourists, both parties are benefiting. I just don't understand why anyone would dislike this video. That ratio is not right.
