In Titanfall 2. There is a buffer the devs added for something and it basically stops the server from updating for about a few frames and lets any command come in from the client's computer and when it comes in in that buffer zone it can register it for that timing. So if you create a little buffer zone for zombie grabs it might work
Theres been multiple times where I would get grabbed from a distance that I shouldn't and I would always think to myself like "WTH" but this is very informative, you should make more video like these, very useful 👍
I’m not sure how detection works around here for rb studio, but if these ideas could possibly help even if I’m not sure about the engine myself, I’ll put it here. Way 1: Radius Circle around the zombie. (Or player if it works better somehow for them) The circle will have three segments, one for outermost for ‘too far’, another for ‘a little close’ and one for ‘grabbing range’ This Circle is to let the server be ready and aware in a way that the player/zombie is either far, close by, or grabbing range utilising collision (I think and hope) Edit: this is to check the location of the player, not to check movement Way2: If the player is facing the zombie. There could be a box around the zombie or player to check wether the front of the box (basically where the front of the guy) is facing the zombie, When the respective box is faced towards a zombie’s front, the grab will ensue, and if it’s facing the other box sides, nothing will happen. (I have lesser faith in the second one but I hope this could help as well.) Once again I do not know Roblox studio scripting well, so I may be inaccurate. But I hope it gives you ideas of some sort my friend. Edit: this is to check which side of the player is facing the zombie USING the box faces so that only if the player is facing the front, it will then grab.
When i am playing, i always get mad because the runners can grab you further than usual. But this video gives useful information where i can understand it and not get as mad. But when i try to hit a runner with a pickaxe it does not register the hit and i die.
Perhaps having the closest few zombies's movements be mirrored client side to replicate the zombie's pathing algorithm could let players have an approximation of where the zombie is regardless of latency.

The Lance and Musket's Bayonet is a primary. The Heavy Sabre is a secondary.
