"I guess as you are young you just believe there will be many people with whom you connect with. Later in life you realise it only happens a few times". very true..
I've never seen these movies but I said almost the very same thing to a young woman I was dating many years ago when she told me she wanted to see someone else. She couldn't really hear me because she was enamoured with this other man. A couple of years later, she called me out of the blue and told me she still thought of me and hadn't connected with anyone like she did with me. But by then, I had moved on.
ItsmyLIFE it basically means she lived 2 streets away, and streets in NYC are generally very close together, so where she lived should be no further than 500m from where he thought seeing her
@@dougwong7827 ohh very easy explaination of blocks in NYC. I searched quora as i live in Asia. I m unaware of block system but heard so much in American movies & serials that i was curious to know
if my granddaughter told me that she skipped out on meeting a person she met and loved to go to my funeral i'd be pissed. forget my funeral - go find your happiness.
Her grandma would want her to go meet Jesse instead of attending the funeral. But this is more real, ppl missed connect back then, no iphones. God i miss those days!
My gf and me just broke up, and i am totally broken. Devastated. I just woke and this scene popped into my mind. I guess when you're young.. etc. ". We're not young, well in our souls we are. She is 39, feeling 33, I am 58, feeling 33. It is not different. And indeed i learned, yes connections like these are extremely rare, maybe 1 or 2 times a lifetime. Hm.. no only once a life-time. The art and irony of living is that you fully realize it when it's gone. Casual love does not exist. If it is casual, it is not love.
Third best for me (in this one). Only the closing one and her outburst in the limo are better. God, two people talking and nothing else happens, that is why this trilogy is epic
That would go against what the trilogy is about though, Jesse and Celine. Not to mention there is no way to get around that they have aged. Some things are better off untouched, implied. If there ever is a fourth movie it would have to centre around the concept of death since Celine was fixated on that topic in the first film, the only way to make it full circle. Both of them being 50 years old, one is terminal, could be called "Before You Go".
@@Morgetiud how about a title like "before twilight"? Twilight meaning the period of time close to death but still alive etc... wouldn't that be great?
Yeah it is. The physics of our universe governs that to stabilize outer electrons of hydrogen and oxygen, thats whats required. Ofcourse in some other universe, following other principles, it might be different, but its about equilibrium in ours. Looking at your picture, you seem like a kid, i hope you study physics with all your heart when you grow up.. its the most magical thing and then you'll know why
Even the playuh gets played man.. you'll have 15 different girls you'd be with, passing your time, having superficial conversations but that ONE! oh that ONE is unforgettable.. thats what this one is for him...
This should have been the theme of the second movie. The entire 24 hours before his marriage in New York. Jessie runs into her at a bagel shop. He hides the fact he’s getting married putting his engagement ring in his jacket. Escapes on a boat ride to Ellis Island with Celine. He decides to ask her to marry him at the top of the Statue of Liberty (a gift from France) She says yes. Jesse in his excitement, upon exiting does a cartwheel, the ring rolls to her feet, she picks it up and says….what’s this?

Watch Before Midnight... All illusions will come home.
i think i watched this movie on dvd over 10 times... and just im watching it and its 2018... very intellectual and romantic in different sense.
I know
I'm curious. Why do you think it is intellectual?
@@Aditya-fy6iy Probably because they touch deep topics, which demands intellectual madurity to put them into words

my favorite scene in the movie. maybe the whole trilogy.

Before sunset was the best movie in this trilogy, but they were all good.
like we hate each other now?
this film is fucking brilliant!
You really did love me?? I was thinking about you too.
Its so simple . We are good weather friends .. good only at brief encounters in warm weather .
Thank you . Imbibe the gist !!
Celine 😍
this is my favorite of the trilogy ❤ hurts so good
Fourth film needs to be a prequel centered around 13th and Broadway the day of his first wedding
i can be ok with this
