I woke up and smelt the roses when a family friend near Blackburn got some antique firearms stolen by some travelers and he captured them on video walking out of his home with them. The firearms were still functional and the police wouldn't do anything about it because there was no sign up stating they were no surveillance warning signs up therefore the evidence was not admissible in court.

@Maid Subrena I am afraid you are very wrong, this was a show trial, much the same as with Julian Assange, it is about silencing anyone who goes against the mainstream narrative and those who further it, it was also to silence him from telling just what the BBC is and how it operates. From now on, we ALL need to be aware that if we openly disagree with what the government says and does and the stance of mainstream media, we could just as easily end up in prison, there is a teacher now in prison in Ireland for refusing to use a child's pronouns because it is made law under the new sex education they have forced on schools, something Alex was also speaking out against. So beware before you look at this from a literal and logical perspective, this is a precedent set, the second in as many months, I speak of the sanctioning of a UK citizen, without trial, for interviewing a UK mercenary in Ukraine with a story to tell, at his request, information that the UK government, particularly Liz Truss do not want the public to hear.

Thank you for this Katie, I knew it would come. The sentencing was discussed on UK Column News extra time yesterday (16-09-2022), it was too late to be included in the main news, I will be very surprised if it is not included there on Monday, the three people on the programme yesterday were Mike Robinson who was visibly shocked and stunned, Patrick Henningsen and Vanessa Beeley, all three agree that this is not about a crime committed but is a political silencing of someone speaking out against the establishment and to further the progress of silencing independent journalism and opinion with the online harms bill, I hope the majority in the UK will wake up soon to the the fact that the public are under attack from what can only be seen as a hostile government, media and the law, such as it is. I was more than surprised when the Judge allowed evidence from one witness who changed his evidence overnight in relation to the number of emails and when challenged by the defence, he said he did so as he had received a text message from a named person. This would to any lay person suggest that there may be some form of collusion or conspiracy taking place between people on the prosecution side. Was his evidence his evidence or not? Can you imagine that there is no legal definition for cruelty? The legal system has no definition for it. So it's left to 12 (in our case, thanks to Covid, 11 jurors) to decide what they believe cruelty amounts to.
You're given directions by the judge before you retire to make your verdict. You have to fulfil each criteria for each count against the defendant(s) to find them guilty. In my opinion, our directions were biased and made it virtually impossible to reach a guilty verdict.
Even though we all believed the acts had been carried out.
It split us, the jury, almost down the middle. 27 counts we had to consider. I still can't forget the experience and the miscarriage of justice that took place. It still makes me so angry.

I’ve just had my own experience of this. I realised the law is all just smoke and mirrors when the driver of the car that killed my son who was a passenger, got off. Walked away, after perjuring himself by blaming the dead passenger. I suddenly saw that the more money you have, then justice is easily achievable and as you say Katie, it’s a game. Thinking of Alex. I’m in shock at this travesty - yet again.

I only found out today that Alex was sentenced to prison. This is totally disgusting and even I was shocked. As I posted before, the judges report will have to explain why he was given such a harsh sentence, however sentence can be appealed against and previous sentences are compatible despite what Katie says. Conviction can only be appealed if there is reason. ie there's a protocol.
I remember posting and at the time I was worried about Alex, clearly a man who wasn't accustomed to the reality of Britain's justice system. Like Katie says about T.R. never before had anyone else been sent to prison for the same thing but they all knew what was going to happen. Think about that.
The bit that worried me was that Alex believed he was going to get justice through the facts of the case and not just probability like that in the magistrates court where he would have received 2yrs max. He knew to a certain extent but didn't expect exactly the same treatment from a high court.
I lost all hope in justice a long time ago when the judge said to a policeman in open court that he was trapped in a web of his own fabricated evidence, apologised to me then found me guilty. I abandoned my appeal 2 yrs later. Nobody gains except those people being paid to be there.
Good luck Alex and God bless. Katie sounds like a good friend who has good council.

Certain democrat developers were putting political pressure on their bought politicians to take it from us and give us a pittance for it. Well we got the jump on them. We sold the property to Hasidic Jews who will develop for their use. After all NYC is doing nothing to stop the violence committed by people of color against Jews, Orientals and of course the liberal white socialist in the city who supported this radical toxic agenda. I know that it is absolutely forbidden to talk about court proceedings if one has been a juror and the jurors must go by whatever has been heard in court, but I also know that sometimes everybody involved in a courtroom knows in their bones that a defendant may be guilty BUT that 'not guilty' must be returned as a verdict because of procedural mishandling on the prosecution side (or conversely that jurors may be inclined to acquit, but may be directed otherwise by the judge). As Katie said in this video, it is a game for lawyers - exploiting every possible weakness to score a 'win' - and the new ground in cases like this may be in people's feelings rather than material facts. I stopped following Belfield's shenanigans many months ago because he's a very prolific broadcaster and I just wanted to be able to fast-forward to the end of his case - I literally found out about the result today (25/9). It is my one worry if I were ever to be a juror myself that I might be 'directed' to go against my own objective opinion and I hope it never comes to that. Jurors carry a heavy burden.

Hi Katie. As a Victorian refugee (Australia) I know what you feel as someone who lost everything. It’s that freeing feeling of no longer worrying about loss cause it’s happened.
It’s heart breaking but the only way through is to move forward fearlessly.
Sadly as I spent years in lockdown in my home in Australia and curfews etc I was struggling. I made the courageous decisions each day to venture out and challenge the rules and see family, they never once visited me. So I realised they cared not for how I was but for how they would be affected if caught and it’s safer to stay home than to check in on me. So I escaped, packed up fled. All of a sudden it mattered to them, I have been 1.5hour flight away, they are free to travel and I haven’t seen anyone. I now know I have no one and I am ok.
The part that makes me strong is inside me, it’s my principles, and as a result I remain free of coercion, and government control and free thinking.
