Gotta love all you Dave Kendall haters. You probably were not even born in 1990. Yes he is a massive Killing Joke fan. He is also more knowledgeable about indie and alternative music than any of you muppets. Dave Kendall and Kevin Seal blow Matt Pinfield out of the water. This was when 120 minutes was the real deal 87-90 and not some corporate grunge vehicle. KABOOM.
LordWoolley Kendall's website reads: "His duties at Soundbreak [in 2000] included formulating and developing "Sweetspot" video interviews and an interactive music news show, conceiving a site redesign architecture, developing competitive analyses and viral marketing plans, and forming strategic alliances with Real Networks, Microsoft, Sonic Foundry/Juno, Earthlink and others." I think the muppets might be onto something, a little bit.
After 1992 and seeing 120 minutes sell out, why not make a few bucks? Kevin Seal btw was the only interviewer or host to ever handle John Lydon. Had him in his back pocket. Proof on UA-cam. Kendall was the real deal. He didn't harp about MC5 and the Velvet Underground every 5 seconds like Pinfield. Name dropping was cool for like 2 sec before Nirvana sold out and grunge ruined music. Kaboom.
I would somewhat rather hear about the Velvet Underground than about Kendall's developing viral marketing plans and strategic competitive analyses, few bucks or no. Kablammo.
College radio was really instrumental in supporting Sonic Youth and other bands. My favorite band Coil was supported by College a Radio and they were on a compilation with Sonic Youth and Husker Du called “Diamond Hidden in a Mouth of a Corpse”.
Steve Jay Shelley, baterista estadounidense, nacido el 23 de junio de 1963 en Midland, Míchigan. Formó parte de la formación original de la banda de punk: "Crucifucks".
Sonic Youth feel like fools I bet. Kendall cuts right to the heart of the matter and tells them they sold out. Serves them right for their horrid treatment of David Byrne and Talking Heads for signing a major label deal during the No Wave era.
Dave Kendall was the perfect host of 120 minutes and usually WAY cooler than this makes him look (on the show and in real life). Kevin Seal was awesome, too. It was a great time to be a depressed teenager.

That was one of the records by John Giorno Poetry System I guess. Good times, great music, amazing attitude!
@StraightPunkEdge93 It's just you. If you watched 120 Minutes during Dave's tenure as host, it was very apparent that he was a huge Killing Joke fan.
The interviewer's voice reminds me of Moss' voice from the IT Crowd.
9 years later, I’m thinking the SAME THING.

Back in the.old days, you used to be able to discover new, cool music on 120 minutes. Had to stay up late though.
now you can do it any time you want on the internet. no need for corporate television
Brian Smith also new, uncool outfits
get with the times old guy you can listen to any song you want in a second
@@apexlegendsofficialreal you could always do that. You don't have a built-in music player in your brain?
Dave Kendall was the perfect host of 120 minutes and usually WAY cooler than this makes him look (on the show and in real life). Kevin Seal was awesome, too.
It was a great time to be a depressed teenager.
Thurston loves the sound of his voice
hahahaha
Thurston loves Thurston
"Thurston you gotta start washing your hands for these interviews!"
"Never..."
so rad how they mentioned SST and Dischord, I think if SY were still around today they'd mention Death Wish or something.

Why is that band talking? I thought Dave Kendall was going to be interviewed.

My thoughts EXfuckingACTLY

this interchange between 1:36 and 2:01 is hilarious
Am I the only person that thinks the host isn't really a Ramones fan or Killing Joke fan?
Did we really need grunge…? Most of the bands l like were more influenced by this lot than Nirvana.
and
Fuck, I remember those Ramones shorts- i used to own a pair. Geez i'm old..
