Pupusas are sooo good. My mom makes them from scratch and it’s hands down the best EVER especially with sopa (soup) on the side 😋😍 now im hungry 😂

@@StephenShaw107 Mix masa harina and 1/2 cup water together in a bowl by hand. Add the remaining water slowly, about 2 tablespoons at a time, mixing well after each addition, until dough is moist but still firm. Cover with a wet towel. You can add a tiny bit of salt to taste but most of the time it’s salty enough! Heat 1/2 cup oil a large skillet over medium-high heat OR you can use a tortilla pan and use no oil and just cook them like you’re making a tortilla. They will come out the same just not fried. (optional). Take a golf ball-sized piece of dough and roll into a ball in your hands. (Make your hands a little wet with water so the maza won’t stick.) Make a hole in the dough ball with your thumb; put a small amount of Cheese (Munster or mozzarella) or you can use beans inside the hole, close it up, and flatten the ball with your hands into a thick tortilla shape. You could also cut out to circles from a plastic bag and put the dough in between the two and flatten it that way if you don’t want it to stick to your hands. Place pupusa in the skillet and fry until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side. Repeat with the remaining dough and cheese. This is my family’s Honduran recipe. Some people make it different depending on where they are from!
