It's shocking I only really "discovered" this song last summer after first time seeing them live, been a fan and listening them since I was 14 or something, but bought the Sci-Fi Lullabies double-CD only few yars after but I somehow never paid attention to this song, even I listened that collection album through many times, it always sorta just went on the background for me. But last year, after the gig, re-listening through the suede catalogue I just got it. It hit hard like its completely a new song. And now it is one of their best and means a lot to me.
I'm not sure how to quantify and formalise this phenomenon but let's try anyway. David Gilmour, Brett Anderson and a few others manage to preserve such clarity of voice. Given his crack habit, it is nothing short of a miracle. Peace, love and eternity!
I shouted go on Brett just before he shouted that which you can hear on the video then he just randomly shouted that and I heard a lot of people laughing but I didn't know Brett was until I saw this!
Too beautiful song! And is always magic to see Brett Smiling and laughing!
I've always loved this song. Surprised it got such treatment as a B-side though. Glad it did.
Lovely reaction! Of course, we all know it to be true, eh? Great version of one of my favourite songs. Thanks for posting.

Nice to hear a stripped back acoustic version as well
The exact same thing happened to me. Are you me, am I you?
