Thanks for sharing these videos! A lot of interest in your van 😁 Would you be willing to share any more specifics about the lift on your Hiace? Trying to put together a parts list to ship to North America. Turns out more difficult than I hoped.
We have a plan to make a tour video with extra details, but for the lift itself: front is just torsion bar lifted, we got new lower control arms and ball joints fitted but they're same as original. Done it just to make sure there are no weak points as ball joints were pretty worn out. For the rear, it's lifted with extra leaf spring. One extra leaf fitted and just re-tensioned. Some people do it with extended shackles, but it didn't seem right to me with the extra weight we're carrying. That is really it and it gives around 45 mm lift. You can probably get extra 10mm before you need to source completely new arms for the front. We got another inch from the rims (15" to 16" rims) and tires. Those are KO2s LT215/70R16 tires. All new shocks are also fitted although I do not remember exactly the size, those are from SuperPro. Cheers!
No issues with the sliding doors etc. They maybe stick out extra 3-4 cm. They come with screws but we just used the double sticky tape that is already on them and they still hold well 2 years later. Putting them on right takes a little trail and error but shouldn't be too big of an issues. This is the exact link to what we have on the van: ebay.us/H2794U
I drove the 300 series last wknd around Brisbane and the GC. 420nm certainly made for a fun drive and shocked a few on the M1 😅
Will be going same way next weekend! :)
“That’s why you get a 4x4” heck yeah!
Looks way more capable than most people would think for a van. Nice one! do you have a diff locker or just standard?

what size are the fender flares ? Do they hit the sliding door?
