@@pipedgolf4634no, the BLM movement involved everyone, not just blacks. If you look into the protests and main events, there were mostly black people, but you can see other races there as well.

As someone whos not american as well I probably would’ve thought the same thing, sundown to me probably would’ve sounded like an area that has amazing sunsets which she implied as well similarily, where i’m from I’ve never heard that term until seeing her video, so at least she clarified the meaning to us non-americans, don’t really understand why some people are pressed about it when it was just a misunderstanding.
It takes two minutes to search for the meaning behind a phrase. Stop being lazy

I had to search what sundown town meant too and this is what I found but when I just heard it for the first time 5 minutes ago, I couldn't connect it to anything racist. So I can see how it could be super misconstrued if someone went with their own assumption.

What's the difference between a Sundown Town and the China Towns and Black neighbourhoods? To me, as an outsider, I don't want to be there during the night at all! I doubt you can move into China Town as a white person and expect no trouble.
in sundown towns any black ppl found after sunset would be maimed or killed. That does not happen in majority asian or black neighbourhoods

These places very much exist and many people have very well died in them. Some are lured to one, some disappear from even hotels and houses and others still haven’t even been found. It’s also well known police tends to sweep them under the rug when they DO find them though, and they become unsolved. This is why they never make national news. Dahvonte Morgan is one of the examples.
“Illegal”. The people who are supposed to enforce the law are part of it. If a black person ends up killed, who’s to say the cops wont cover it up?

I’m a grown woman with a business, married with three kids and less than ten years left on my mortgage and nobody I know has heard of a sundown town until now. It’s yet another verminous Yankee thing that they expect the rest of the world to know about and care about and we just don’t. I’m no fan of the English either but in this case I feel sorry for her.

Nope. They’re mostly in the southern states, which usually have White on White crime. Especially in Arkansas and Kentucky. Very high crime rates.
