The think that makes me happier about this game is the fact that Kojima *wanted* to do it. Kojima wanted to do a sequel, this time. He has something to say.
He also wanted to make; Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain... which, are all direct sequels to Metal Gear...

When in the ending bb theme played it made me tear up hard . Never thought a game so simple will be so deep . Walking long distances and making the strands that binded everyone . Thank u kojima for making death stranding 2 , i thought it was once in a lifetime experience but thank u for bringing it again . Edit : i'm still maintaining and making new structures for fellow porters out there. So don't forget to spread likes and cheers if they help u .
2:40 The melodic tunes accompanied by the hums, whirs and churns of advanced robotics/machinery was one of my favorite aspects of DS. They always reminded you that despite their imposing, foreign and uncanny nature, they were built to help, not hurt.
oh that's a neat observation! ive been replaying ds1 and kept thinking about how a lot of the tech and machinery are these kind of edgy, frightening, dangerous-looking pieces of equipment but i don't remember ever feeling anything more negative than slight unease. except for the BB pod, which scares me because i'm scared of how frail babies are. oh, and now except for the personal room too. kojima added a pt style jumpscare random scene in directors cut that caught me off-guard yesterday and i've started dreading entering the room to rest. it's some really impressive design
The game was the most tedious, interesting, ridiculous, profound, complicated, but appealing to such simple things as friendship, motherhood, relationships and duty. It was so grey, but so incredibly colorful. Truly in the league of its own! Can't wait to be building roads through the wastelands all over again!
DS is one of those games that you're going to start off hating the tediousness of, but as we age you will find yourself appreciating it so much more. Just now replaying it and the games atmosphere is breathtaking and puts me in a headspace that reminds me of once simpler times.

I maintain that death stranding’s ending was a great end point for the world that was created, but the sequel seeming to take place multiple years into the future is incredibly interesting. It seems like this will be an entirely different game. Hopefully it drops in 2023

8 months later and I'm still coming back to this trailer Death stranding 1 got me though a rough time in my life and I can't wait for DS2 and we are going to get to play as fragile this is honestly amazing.

Kojima is a certified gaming genius in my eyes. 1 of 1 original, authentic badass. If they would have let him finish MGSV, not rush him and set deadlines, just imagine what could have been.
The fact that the credits say Troy Baker straight gave me chills. Higgs is one of my favorite characters ever and Troy Baker brought him to life with his epic voice! I can't wait to see what role he plays in DS2.

The sequel I didn't know I needed! Bought Death Stranding upon release, wanting to take a risk because I was curious. The game went well beyond any of my expectations and holds a special place in my heart. Hearing BB's theme in a darker tone here just made the emotions flood back for me.
DS1 gave me hope for myself. Hope that I needed to not kill myself. I truly contemplated it to do it the week after the release of the game. So that I could play it as my last game. I decided it because it felt right. After I played it I broke down. I felt understood in everything. It truly is hard to describe. It changed the way that I looked at myself and that I looked at the world. Since then I started my own journey trough life, and it has been hard. So f*cking hard. But I’m still here and I am great full to be here. I don’t care how the game will be or what it’s about. I just care for the experience that it will bring me and the way that it will make me feel. I feel you brother I was lost in life before this game but when I played it I found myself and the motivation to keep going in life. This game was something else and I enjoyed every minute of it.
The line 'Should we have connected' combined with the fact kojima decided to rewrite this entire game after experiencing quaratine is so interesting... We've all accepted the internet and working and socialising from home, we've all 'connected' but it's digitally and now we just... live like that. Should we have? Really excited to see the ideas explored here!
I was honestly just thinking about what a sequel would be like. Guessed the protagonist would be undoing all that Sam did, in an effort to liberate everyone.
@@IchbinX DS1 was basically connecting people to digital information / the internet. But a 'drawbridge' is for people to physically cross, so we can be with each other! The future-boat is cool too, oceans and seas have always physically separated us and we learned how to overcome that!

The original Death Stranding had masterclass storytelling and it was just an experience like no other. I wonder if the sequel will live up to the masterpiece that is Death Stranding.
I have no idea why but Troy Baker with a guitar strumming a deep dark note making all the troops behind him flash red exclamation marks is haunting. Its perfectly Kojima. Just weird and badass all at once. Im also VERY curious as to why they cut away before he removes the mask. I see Amelie's hair and necklace and the mask shaped like her face...but is it also her face underneath? Or is it just to toy with us?
A massive thing to note is that Higgs was left. He was left. On. Amelie's. Beach. Her beach. This is probably a very big part of the explanation to this.

In an industry about maximising profit a director like kojima who wants to spend ridiculous amounts of money to do something is boundary pushing an untested can be quite the risk however he's proved time and time again he makes things worth experiencing.

Very thrilled for this! I'm curious though if we will end up playing as Fragile, or Sam. Will the gameplay still revolve around delivering cargo and packages, or will it be something else if we do not end up playing as Sam? The red character looks like a robot / human hybrid to me. Perhaps it wasn't possible for Higgs to return from the beach that he was stranded in, with his body completely intact.
Elle Fanning being credited next to Norman means 99% she is Louise, right? We might get to play as her as well? Or at least, looking at his age, it seems she will be grown up.

I have no idea why but Troy Baker with a guitar strumming a deep dark note making all the troops behind him flash red exclamation marks is haunting. Its perfectly Kojima. Just weird and badass all at once. Im also VERY curious as to why they cut away before he removes the mask. I see Amelie's hair and necklace and the mask shaped like her face...but is it also her face underneath? Or is it just to toy with us?

A massive thing to note is that Higgs was left. He was left. On. Amelie's. Beach. Her beach. This is probably a very big part of the explanation to this.
I can’t wait for this again. I can remember the fun I had scaling the snow-tipped mountains with ladders and ropes, listening to the spectacular soundtrack.
DS was such a great game, I was shocked at just how ‘connected’ I became to it. To say I’m happy to see this trailer appear is an understatement 👌😊

Wow I cannot wait to play!!! The entire trailer was unlike anything I could’ve ever imagined the sequel to be like!! THAT is how you keep an audience hooked👏🏻!! Gorgeous visuals and unpredictability! In an industry about maximising profit a director like kojima who wants to spend ridiculous amounts of money to do something is boundary pushing an untested can be quite the risk however he's proved time and time again he makes things worth experiencing.
Every time when I played DS and now when I see this trailer I feel ambiance from Netflix 'Dark' amazing, even sound sometimes is similiar just woow, definietly my taste ✊✊

DS1 ( so stoked I can call it DS1 now) is one of my absolute favorite games ever. I know for many that sounds insane but it is truly, truly so much more than it appears to be on the surface. So elated when I saw this trailer. Happy to see Fragile back!! Woot woot!

Yes! Kojima ended up making a game that can be considered an allegory to the 2020 quarantine. In 2019! Awesome to see this did well enough to warrant a sequel. An excellent game 👏
If you watch carefully... During 2013 - 2020 many many games came out that had outbreaks and a quarantined world....
@businessgamerprb5398 they didn't share the same central idea of ds1. Ds1 basically was about connecting with everyone no matter where the people are.

I don't think they will get rid of Sam. Sounds like he "hits the road" again, and what we saw in this trailer is most likely a flashback or a dream or something. 🤔😏 But I think Sam is back.

Very thrilled for this! I'm curious though if we will end up playing as Fragile, or Sam. Will the gameplay still revolve around delivering cargo and packages, or will it be something else if we do not end up playing as Sam? The red character looks like a robot / human hybrid to me. Perhaps it wasn't possible for Higgs to return from the beach that he was stranded in, with his body completely intact.
