Probably my biggest regret missing this drop. I even took off work for it. Elvira has been such an influence in my life and my drag. Missing out on her truly tore me apart
There is the Elvira doll by Mezco still available on sites like Big Bad Toy Stors for less than Mattel's doll, I think she is adorable and makes a great collector doll for an Elvira fan.
There are doll conversation sites that will take how to diy and it will mean a lot more that's what I'm going to do I will not pay secondary market prices.
I was extremely disappointed that I was not able to get this doll. I had it in my kart on mattel creations. While waiting in line to purchase it sold out. I was so mad that I instantly canceled my Mattel creations membership. I will not be buying anything from that website again
Wow that is some bs. What even is the point in that membership?!
I tried to buy this figure at 9 o'clock on the dot. I was in the process of checking out when I got an error msg saying it was "Sold out" 2minutes later

I remember when she first dropped and sold out in like less than an hour,and I was SOO DEVASTATED 😭!! But my mother bought her for me as one of my Birthday Gifts;for much more than she was originally,BUT I got her!! And SHE’S ✨💅🏾FABULOUS💅🏾✨!!😝💅🏾!!
Monster High Did ✨AMAZING✨with this doll!!
The make up around her eyes uses the pink/blue/purple of the bisexual pride flag because she's out and proud as bi! a really great touch!
Woulda been a better touch if the doll reflected the character more

Elvira has always had that eye makeup since the 80's.

@@justindelvalle3803 they literally use the same eye makeup colors she has used before. The only thing they didn't do was add super heavy liner,
I think the package was smaller to take away from the doll not having anything just Elvira. All the other collector dolls had accessories why couldn't this doll have one? I personally didn't go for her because I already have an adorable version of her via Mezco which included her *ahem* assets. Why couldn't they include her dog or the couch? Again Mattel keeps increasing the price but giving collectors less.
I love skullector dolls but it bothers me how there’s no Velcro or magnet to keep the box window closed
Im thinking of buying it as I absolutely love elvira . It costs like 150 quid, and I really want it, but would you say I should go for it because I really want to start an elvira memorabilia collection.
Idk why people are griping about the makeup, this is how Cassandra does her makeup as Elvira.
@James Ramirez You need to do the google search, actually. Cassandra wore pink or blue eye make-up. She did not wear pink, blue and purple in combination. i get that you're triggered by the bisexual thing, but I can't help you because I'm not a therapist.

I want to know, the reason why Mattel dolls are lacking in quality with higher prices. If that's because they used better paid employees? Meaning they have to cut on quality because paying workers is more pricey? Because I feel if MGA can do better quality for cheapest, doest that means they used underpaid workers in their factories ? I feel that is an important topic that nobody talk about in those reviews. Seeing things from a customers stand point can be easy to think "this brand gets better quality" "this brand is cheapest"
But on the end are we buying from brands that are using underpaid workers?
unfortunately, mattel most certainly does not pay its employees better
Mine has just been shipped. It will be my first & maybe only Monster High doll. I was turned off them when the Creeproductions sold out and never restocked. But I couldn’t resist this one and was lucky enough to get one

I don't think it looks very much like Elvira because they didn't...um...they didn't make a new body sculpt...yeah
Great video! The Elvira doll sold out in about 17 minutes. I made sure to be at my computer at 12pm to get her for retail price. I hate the ebay price gougers and I won't pay their 10X markups again! I tried to buy 2 of her, but the system wouldn't let me. They actually had a waiting line on the creations website. I love the dolls on your channel and thanks for keeping us posted on all the new doll drops!!

The color of the makeup is the same as in the 80s film whether or not it had other significance back then I’m not sure about that. But I kind of wish the colors where a bit less bold and her black eyeliner should standout more.

Missed pet opportunity
So you got yours now. I was wondering why they were shipping them out early, I thought they weren't going to be shipped until April.
I paid for one day shipping too. A lot of people are getting shipping notifications now.
@@minitoyadventures that's awesome. I just got my shipping confirmation today as well. Not gonna lie, I was a little on edge because I know with past drops, people were getting their orders cancelled and refunded because of overselling.

Her hand mold is the clawd mold the main character that uses this mold is clawdeen basic doll g1
Thanks for the review. I just received my Elvira package today. I can't wait to get home from work and look at her. I regretted getting Dracula, but now I don't. I think the two would compliment each other in my collection.

@@niagambino1714 thanks I’m hoping someone has her though can tell us. He didn’t mention if she was or not and it’s kinda hard to tell unless she’s literally next to a G1 doll. That’s been the speculation but I want someone has her in hand to confirm it or depute it.
@@ASurfgirl I can tell from promo pictures that Mattel posted that they used a big sister body. The doll doesn't have that little slit in the knees that the standard bodies have, and I doubt they used a short body, which doesn't have those too, like the big sister body.

She's on a big sister body 😊 you can tell easier by looking at the knee joints! Big sister bodies have a rounder knee joint whilst the standard bodies have the standard knees😊

It's nice that Mattel could still give a doll to a reviewer when there are doll collectors that had their doll stolen when they were typing in the cars info to pay for it.
