Oh sweeeeeeet. While old Wintersun isn't like a stroke from Sonic Pump Studios, I own the album and haven't regretted it any day of... when it was made. And that's a long time! Good choice dudes! Also as an edit, the old album is like this. It's pretty old but recommend you doing more of these. More mellow, but certainly beautiful to listen.

HA! My dad used to listen to Bond all the time. Totally forgot about them. Also, the album art is done by a guy that goes by the name Necrolord. He's done a ton of legendary metal album covers including several for Jari's(singer/songwriter) old band Ensiferum. You guys would really dig them. Similar style to Wintersun, but less orchestral and more folky/Viking-themed. Listen to the album version of the song Into Battle. Fucking classic.

Glad you're enjoying this band so much and glad you did a song from their first record, it's a masterpiece. In this first album Jari played all the instruments with exception of the drums and composed all the lyrics and orchestrations. Death And The Healing it's a fantastic and beautiful song, but I really recommend Starchild (Jari's favorite song) or Winter Madness from the same album, both are fantastic songs

You should listen to all of this album. Every song is fantastic. And as others have said, you gotta listen to Ensiferum too. Their first 2 albums with Jari are godlike. Mind you, the later stuff is just as good IMO.
