Hello sweet friends! I hope this video helped some of ya'll out! I love making anchor charts the old fashioned way (coloring is therapeutic haha!) but I found that this can make certain parts of the process so much easier! Let me know if you think could use this in your classroom! ☺️
I love using PowerPoint for all sorts of stuff posters, clipart, and recently animation and video editing. When you mentioned that you can't edit text in presentation mode I remembered that I had seen it done somewhere so I looked it up. PowerPointSpicr makes a video on how to do it (link: ua-cam.com/video/r_v3ygqDRas/v-deo.html ) and provides a download [not sure if it's free though]. Might be helpful if you're just adding text. Anywho, great video I had not thought of using it this way but I see so many uses for this method and I can already think of more ways to use it in teaching! Thank you so much! ❤❤❤❤❤
i would love a lesson on creating your cute handouts with fonts and artwork! i teach adults and sometimes the online materials are full of childish clips. xoxo
Thank youuuu! First year ELA teacher and I will definitely implement this! The best thing is, you can “create” the chart in class and already have the completed laminated one to post up for years to come. ☺️👍🏾✨
My mom am I are both teachers and we were just talking about prepping anchor charts over the summer. I was going to do the trace method but this one is amazing! Thank you!! I’ll have to send this to my mom! 😂
Haley F hey Haley! Yes! The best part is you don't have to be at school to do this method! 👏🏻 you can do it from HOME! Which is what I will be doing ☺️ have an awesome day!
I love this idea. I'll definitely be using this idea in my classroom next year. I think will save money on paper because anchor chart paper is expensive. Thanks for idea and direction.
I love this video. So very helpful! I did something like that, but using Inkscape with some overlap. Since my PDF was purchased, for some reason my adobe was not letting me make it a poster… Inkscape has a learning curve, but I did it! Thank you for showing us how to make a digital anchor chart as we teach. I prefer them over handmade ones. I’ll definitely try that.
This is ingenious!! I’m in a teaching credential program and some of my anchor charts have turned out well, but this would make the process so much easier!
Absolutely loved this video! I have been waiting for it to be posted 😃. Your content is so wonderful and you are AMAZINGLY tech-savvy! I just watched Megan Forbes teacher appreciation gift exchange video! I knew you was her secret person from the first gift. Totally cute floral print btw. My first thought was Mayleen could whip this poster up on PP in her sleep 😴👩🏫 💻! Best wishes on your job hunt! Who ever snatches you up will be happy they done so! I hope my job hunt will land me at a school with a coworker like you! I am sure your must be an asset to your school. 😊
Ericka Allen I know! I'm so sorry it took so long!!!! I so appreciate that compliment girl. I also hand-lettered and used watercolors for that piece for Megan! It's hard to tell in her video haha! ☺️ and THANK YOU! That is so so nice to say!! Good luck on your hunt as well!! 💛💛
I sew from pdf patterns so this idea of taping pages together isn’t foreign to me. Still I’ve never made my own poster. This was very informative from the design process to forming the poster. Thanks from a high school algebra teacher who is doing laundry and learning.
