We hired Dvir last week for a full day tour of Jerusalem. He did a fantastic job !!! He listens carefully to what you want to see and learn about. We recommend Dvir 100% for your tour guide.
Oren, I am truly impressed by your openness, generosity and straightforward approach to tourism in Israel. G-d be with you and bless you always and in all ways!
Israelis and Arabs they fit so well together! It's a shame people aren't willing to step the politics aside and live together in peace, Make Humus not war
Thank You Both, for this very interesting Tour trough the most Beautiful City on this Planet! Autentic explained and with Wonderful Music in the background 🙏👑🕎💖🕎👑🙏
What a wonderful tour, thank you for your generosity in sharing this with us. I lived in Jerusalem for five years, and now want to return. I will contact you.
I just got back from my 4th trip to Israel. It is amazing how much the Old City has to offer. I felt that I knew the Old City, but after seeing this video, I see how much I still need to see and experience.
I was in Jerusalem in the winter of 2000, it was very cold and snowed heavily. It was so beautiful to see the snow on the palm trees and ancient walls at night, we had a snowball fight with some Haredim. Beautiful memories. I left my heart in Israel ❤
He gave us a tour. He was awesome! My husband and I came from Hawaii and traveled with my daughter, son in law, and grandkids. He took us to eat in Jerusalem to eat authentic Muslim foods.
Just an amazing place. Probably one of the most significant places on earth. Will continue to be living and vibrant centuries after New York and London have disappeared into the history books.
Hi Oren: I watch your traveling Israel videos constantly; they are exceptional. Dvir your friend and Jerusalem guide has an excellent demeanor on camera; it is a pleasure to watch and listen to his narrative. During my travels , I discovered I do not enjoy too much listening to Guides that seem “unhappy” with themselves for it spoils my day. Thanks for all the info on Jerusalem.
👋 GREAT TO SEE YOU AGAIN OREN …and to meet DVIR …TODA FOR THE TOUR TODAY AND SEEING IT FROM A NEW FRIEND’s VIEW AND OF COURSE THE DELICIOUS 😋 FOODS 🤗 SHALOM AND YALLA ,BYE 👋💚💚💚
What a great tour and such a inspiring video. I wish that tour would be on your great app, so I could follow that tour on my own :-) THANKS for sharing.
That was wonderful. I live in Hod Hasharon and we regularly go to Jerusalem. Just as your friend said though, we almost always enter through Jaffa Gate, and head down to the Kotel. So this was all new territory for me. Looks cold though!!!! Thank you for this.
I would love to visit that lovely coffee shop when I visit Jerusalem next April. Very interesting tour. I'm trying to work out where most of the places shown are situated on my city map.
I have to admit the reason I have avoided the Damascus gate in the past is people like me have an unfortunate tendency to end up stabbed. I suppose if I was accompanied by a big strong street savvy tour guide I might feel different.
Very fun and cool video, thank you. I pray you both accept and follow Yeshua Jesus Christ as What He is, Lord, One with the Father & Saviour of the world (if accepted). He is the Only Way to Heaven, back to the Father, the Only Way to eternal life. Much love and may God bless you and keep you. ❤
Very interesting video. Thank you. A map of locations in the video would have been useful. We will be visiting Jerusalem in May but will have no idea where these places are?
Wow love it! I don't follow the guides when there... walk around the old walls, walk towards the Skull site where bus terminal is, walk all the way to the Museum. climb to highest pt at Golden Gate and see Mt Olive thru the walls window....
I just got back from Israel last Thursday. I spent time in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Tiberias. I should have gotten a guide for Tiberias. Google maps are not 100% accurate, but for Tiberias they are way off. Plus the bus service proved unreliable and some of the sites I wanted to visit are accessible only on unpaved paths and roads. With my knees, these were too difficult for me to walk. Sadly, when I visited the Old City I discovered the Quarter Cafe has closed. I did eat at the Holy Cafe twice. I recommend it. Old City attractions, which your package tour will probably miss: City of David (actually just outside the Old City south of the Dung Gate). Davidson Center. These are the ruins from the time of the second Bais Hamikdosh. Wohl Museum. Ruins of a residential district from the second Bais Hamikdosh period. Currently closed for renovations. Old Yishuv Court Museum. Documents Jewish life in Jerusalem from over 100 years ago. Tunnel Tours. Near the Kotel. See what's underground. It's Jerusalem from the second Bais Hamikdosh. Remember, the current Old City was built by the Byzantines over the ruins of the former Jerusalem. Tower of David Museum. Misnamed. The citadel and tower have nothing to do with David. The museum gives the history of Jerusalem, and there are archeological findings in the center. Much of the museum is currently closed for renovations. The Four Sephardic Synagogues. Now all under one roof. Enjoy the beauty. Moriah Book Store. I always stop here to pick up some reading for my trip back. I agree that getting lost in the Old City can be a fun way to explore. But make sure you know where you should not go. A lone traveler going through the Arab Quarter could be putting their safety on the line if you are Jewish or American. Or from certain western European countries.
I've found google maps often don't have any streets built in the last three years (in Israel). Waze is much better for Israel. Also, if you want a more local perspective, there is the STEPS app. My guy, who lives in Carmei Gat, could not find the Sephardi synagogue, and I found it for him on STEPS.
@@deborahfreedman333 Also, I have found that many intersections in Israel don't have street signs. Also, many buildings don't have numbers posted. Still I can usually find my way around. Tiberias is difficult, however. Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa were easier.
I live in Jerusalem and I'm fascinated to see parts of the city that I've never seen. Where in the old city is the spice shop located and how can I find it?
I concur. Get lost there. I ended up on those roofs during a full month in some in October almost 30 years ago. Absolutely no idea how we got up there at the time. Didn't care. We just chose to enjoy the moment. It was awesome.
The real Al Aqsa mosque is in Saudi Arabia in Ja'arana. That mosque in Jerusalem with the black dome is not the real Al Aqsa mosque. As a matter of fact, it was once a Byzantine church before it was converted into an Islamic shrine.
The last time I visited Damascus gate, theres a lot of kiosk at the gate. Which day does it look like this,? Like less people and kiosk outside the gate?
Very nice video! Oren, I'm surprised that You went to palestinians areas, by the way, is Your friend of Moroccan origen? He's nice guy, He speaks Arabic. Thank You both for the great video! I loved to see the Damascus Gate and places i haven't seen, gorgeous places! 😍
@@Travelingisraelinfoyour response has not really answered his question Oren. He actually said "Palestinian areas", i.e. referring to the fact that it was an area populated mostly by Arabs. Anyone who doesn’t book a ticket to Israel after watching this is insane. Powerful stuff …
Great video! Dvir--like you, Oren--is so knowledgeable, friendly, and happy!
Excellent tour. I love seeing all the local places. And shops.
Kinda reminds me of some of the various cultural ones in Philly🧐
Love seeing this "behind the scenes" kind of tour.
😂
Wow, what an awesome tour. Thank you for showing us this side of Jerusalem.

Abu jihad. His name means father of the holy war. Who you trying to kid? All these people want is to kill non Muslims.

Very different tour that we are used to in Israel - I love it 👍🙋♀💌
Very interesting and informative guide. Easy on the eyes, also. Oren has some decent competition in his work.

LOVE THIS! I can't wait to get back!
Amazing tours and amazing guides! I think Damascus gate is more obvious, but everything else was a wonderful surprise!
I would love to visit that lovely coffee shop when I visit Jerusalem next April. Very interesting tour. I'm trying to work out where most of the places shown are situated on my city map.
We’ve met Jacob before. He is really nice. That’s where we buy herbs whenever we go to Jerusalem. Can’t wait to visit Israel again this April.
Really enjoyed this video with both of the best Israel tour guides.
Great video! Different from what you usually do.
Would love to visit some day. Prayers from Scotland.

You are right about the street vendors !!! Best food!!
The food places inside the Damascus gate and across the street from the gate, are way cheaper than up on Jaffa Rd
תודה רבה

Is it only an impression, or in the cloth on Abu Jihad's table it's written: "Cafés do Brasil" (Coffees from Brazil)?
