Yeah that was a let down…why was he allowed to turtle up like that? Can’t say it wouldn’t have changed the outcome but come on, what’s fair about what Tim did?
Yall must not watch this stuff very much. He followed all the rules, the referee allowed it, so he took the rule book, and beat them all with it, get over it, he smoked that dude, that guy did not stand a chance, he was literally knocked unconscious twice...
@@zane2897 just because you can bend the rules to give yourself a slimy advantage doesn’t mean it’s sportsmanlike. This is a straight forward sport, we don’t need people dissecting the rule book and capitalizing on loopholes. It takes away from the viewing experience and the integrity of the league when they allow things that at least look that blatant, whether or not they’re technically within the rules.
@redpanda9367 it's called winning buddy, and he just showed you how to do it. It is very sportsmanlike to bend the rules in every sport, and every single athlete should take advantage, the ones that are not are only hurting themselves. You are an id1ot if you think he cheated in any way, it's called winning, like I said above, and Silvia smashed this loser! It takes absolutley nothing away from the viewer experience, hell this viewing experience was awesome to watch this dude get humbled! You must be on another planet!
@redpanda9367 nobody did anything wrong. He did exactly what is allowed. I saw great sportsmanship from both ends, but honestly, I have no idea why any dumba$$ would do this in the first place. Then, for people to come in and critique it like they are the f'n pros, and have been doing it for centuries is beyond me. Bottom line is Sylvia is the winner, by a long shot here, that dude did not stand a chance, and I have no idea how he was some champ before, he must of only faced more losers like himself.
@@NORTAH85 He was always a big boy. I heard he was pretty chunky when he started training MMA. Obviously if he's not doing rigorous physical training, he puts on weight like nothing. That or he just has a really shit diet. Who knows? Even when he was in his prime he never had a sixpack though.
Been a long time fan, and as always, amazing event! You people have set the standard for the sport of slapfight, and in my eyes home the real champs of the sport. Not the first to say it, but I really disliked Tim's stance. Maybe it's time to set up a rule to prevent shoulder positioning like that. Compared to many (maybe all) other organisations, you guys value fairness. So I've got no doubt you'll make it work
That first hit rocked him! Poor guy couldn’t hone in on his slaps after that. But…. Knowing him he will come back with a vengeance! Let’s get a rematch soon
Their stances were completely different. Neandrathal was basically crouching forward that gave Tim a wide open angle at his chin.Tim had those shoulders arched high and tight to protect the chin, seems like that made all the difference.
I'm so happy for Tim. The shoulder defense should be illegal, BUT it isn't, and in that case...its fair game, and Tim used the shoulder defense perfectly, and it just won him the title. He more than likely would have won regardless of the shoulder defense, but no matter what, it was a great match.
Only watched because of Tim. I hunted with him once. Unbelievably great dude to be around. Still though still sport perplexes me. Ain’t no way I’m getting slapped on purpose lol
Tim is a maniac . No pun intended . He got his arm snapped in half in the ufc by frank mir, and he he didn’t tap and was mad that the ref stopped the fight. The ref saw the arm snap. !!! Crazy bro. He said late it saved his career.
Man give the guy kudos for having the balls to take 3 slaps from Sylvia. Dude is built like a grizzly bear. He also has the build to be able to absorb heavy shots without much damage.
Tim can get it done in Slap Fight he usually knocks everyone out he faces. Remember he trained martial arts gor years he knows exactly where to hit people.
@GrizzlyCaseyntr you do understand you can think things are stupid but still find it entertaining right? This is absolutely fucking stupid 2 humans slapping the shit out of eachother and concussing themselves but damn it's entertaining!
"The Maine-iac" becomes Tim "the Turtle" and takes the gold.
Oh, the humanity!
Tim Sylvia would have won regardless but also using your shoulders to guard your chin should be illegal obviously.
You’ve clearly never watched slap fighting before
Little Timmy was scared.
Also, the second one didn't look like a slap. It looked more like a chop.
He followed the rules, and beat him with them. Now he is the new super heavy weight champion.

I didn't feel right about it either. Seems like he stood almost out of arms length, too. Maybe there is an actual strategy to it.

Blocked his face with shoulder
I went to high school with tim. We both on wrestling team. Genuine good guy
cool story bro
Cool now he cheats like a B. Next?
Tim is an extremely nice guy my father met him at an outdoors event and they became friends. Ive only met him once and he is a gentle giant.
@@okdogey8062 not too gentile

Once again the commentary with these two are simply the best.
Good to see Tim again, haven't seen him since watching him in the UFC. A real pioneer of the UFC.
Almost unrecognizable since his UFC days!

Ref was asking if what Tim was doing with his stance/shoulders was ok and Neanderthal said yes each time so no reason for ANYONE to complain.

This is kind of like putting Mike Tyson in slap fighting. Guys like Tim know how to throw and take bombs.
5:57 its good to see moistcr1tikal at the slaps
DoppelgangerZ0
I thought the same thing
TIM TIM TIM TIM TIM!!!!
Watched you since ufc early days. so glad to see you compete and not get hurt
That first hit rocked him! Poor guy couldn’t hone in on his slaps after that. But…. Knowing him he will come back with a vengeance! Let’s get a rematch soon
Cause time put his fat shoulders in the way and buried his chin in his rolls 😅
Having a heavyweight ufc champion in slap fight is nuts lol
The leg cross after the 2nd knock down 😂
Good sportsmanship Tim
Nothing against tim, but that fight with randy couture was one of my greatest mma memories. Js…. Slap away fellas.
I enjoyed the Mir fight. Pop!!
alex pereira exists
Double champ in kickboxing
And double champ in ufc
Good company to be in tho
Very happy for Tim
Alistair Overeem as well. Strikeforce and K1 grand prix champ.
Not a super heavyweight…
Tim wasn’t giving him no real estate and he was throwing his whole chin out there. 😂
The water bottle though! That outa get him back. 😂
Tim having that belt on his shoulder, meant alot to him. GOOD ON YAH!!

Never will I forget the fight with Cabbage Wesley Corriera. Tim beat the brakes off that dude. Pillar to post till they tossed the towel in
Went out on his shield for sure.
My dude got sent back to last week with that first slap
Way to go Tim! Great respect and sportsmanship. Neanderthal did a hell of a job.
That first slap!😂 Gawd Dam!
😂 i thought it was pengzuin on the background
Maine is proud of you Tim! Hell yea!!
Tim Syliva's first and second strike both look like clubs, his only clean strike was his third

Tim is once again a champion, good for him.
Around the 7:07 mark kyron is way too happy about this tim sylvia's first slap 😂😂😂
Can’t get over how much that dude in the yellow looks like crazy eyes from that Adam sandier movie, see him in all the slap fights

Come on now two number two we need a rematch most definitely!!??????(?😮
Some great fighters right there❤❤
___________Tim ‘the Maine-iac’ Sylvia vs. Brian Shaw _____________
Tim has class
His shoulders weren't blocking his face, he threw the other guy off. His slap was gingerly.
Cmon bro
Sport ?
o tokat hayata küstürdü.
After the first strike by Tim, Neanderthal HAD to knock out Sylvia. There was no room for error. NONE.
I feel that Neanderthal lost a lot of weight before the fight. This def put him at a disadvantage.
Tim is gonna be dangerous
Somebody call Mark Hunt
Combat sport?
I thought that was Charlie aka moist at 4:35
Damn, how the mighty have fallen...
I would truly hate to upset him in some way
the maniac is the monster
😂😂😂😂 What is this madness 😂😂😂😂
When it comes Tim, the only thing hitting hard is Taco Bell
FLICKEN LATE Dammmmmm IT 👍
Whiffed twice, knocked out thrice
🤣🤣 wtf so this is what Tim Sylvia is doing now
2:16 looks like a dive - looks like he was out before he got hit.
I would rub a whole bottle of lidocaine on my face if I ever had to do this.
the old school italians would have been great at this. spaghetti sauce stained wifebeater and all.
Tim got railroaded by Dana white n the ufc. Mans a former heavyweight champion
i don't get why people like this. i don't also get how people like tim.
I can’t see anyone beating Tim
I struggle to accept this as a “sport” 😂
What is Charles Manson doing there?
A huge beard helps.
I know people are blaming Tim's stance...but i think that first slap ruined his offense.
Suprised he dont use testosterone
All should be ashamed that taking part one this
Beards should be illegal in slap
Beards should be banned btw. Anyone who doesn’t have a beard is WAY less likely to win. It’s just a fact.
Yeah the beard stops .001 power
You tried lmao
