From when I was a teen to today in my late 30s, I have to skip back and listen to the verse beginning with ‘Azazel...’ at least five times before I can move on...MAGNIFICENT
Sound quality was very good compared to most recordings back then for death metal.
analogkid 455 sounds better than the plastic production of most modern metal
there is a vid on youtube somewhere ,where morbid comment on how the album was recorded. it is as you say very good, superior infact, to many others at the time.

I like the rhythm and lead tones here. I think Trey was still using JCM800s and the rack RAT2, minus the Rane EQ. More definition here, vs when he switched to the 900s, JMO.
I've been forever trying to emulate this tone, but to no avail. I'm stuck with a 5150 and ST9 Pro+. Only thing that gets me remotely close is using a Marshall amp sim...
Mat Demaz hey man you should try experimenting with eq matching. Fabfilter and izotope have really good eq match plugins that can help nail most time \m/
