Another good one, pity you stopped reading Isaiah before the explanation of what God detests - blood on our hands and callousness toward our neighbours. I consider these verses one of the strongest ones in the Old Testament. They clearly prove that God doesn´t care about rituals, he wants us to live his commands.
Yes! Rituals have a place but they are a means to an end and the end is God. The rituals can easily becomes substitutes for true morality (a title of a book written by Dietrich von Hildebrand's)
