I have a 1974 custom10 shortbed stepside chevy pickup, recently changed the float system in it. Now it builds pressure in the tank,what can I do to solve the problem? Had been having problems with gas hand not working,now it seems to work somewhat better now the tank pressure.

truck engine is doing a lot of surging , it should idle steady , fuel or timing issue , truck looks good though
