I know that I am just a random person, but I would like to give information about how I found your channel, what I loved about this and other videos, friendly recommendations, and what might make this channel a major success. ** Personally, I am just about to have saved enough to be able to go on many major backpacking hikes. It is most likely going to be my little brother and I, and even though we have a decent idea about where many of the God tier natural locations are, we learn more information every day and this changes our plans for where we might be going. Your channel was immediately found after I made a list of all the national wilderness areas in Oregon from greatest area to least. Your Eagle Cap hike and Broken Top hike are in the two greatest wilderness areas in Oregon, and I was shocked that these two places were recorded and visited out of your six videos! I thought that Oregon's wilderness areas might be underrated, and your videos showed that they are actually immensely underrated. ** Your videos dramatically moved me primarily because of the shocking and Godly imagery that you were able to capture of the locations. So many other people have the camera on themselves for way to long, and that is frustrating. Your videos were very selfless showing multiple scenic views, wildlife, and a variety of elements that make these locations outstanding. Plus, you seem to know the right time to go as your experience seems dramatically more picturesque than other videos of the same locations. The two Oregon locations have to be the best imagery that I have seen on UA-cam of these locations. ** The main friendly recommendation that I have is to hone your skills in recording wildlife because I and others love to see it. Of course, wildlife is unpredictable and hard to capture, but that is why it is so incredible when you do. Also, a logo or symbol to identify your videos would be great for people who find your first video, and then understand that all of your videos are simply wonderful. The logo could be a great thumbnail identifier. ** My educated guess is that you and this channel will become very successful because you are already talented at finding the most beautiful views and capturing so many different elements of those locations. One thing that would get me and possibly others really excited is if you organized your experiences by state. I know that if you did other prominent wilderness hikes in Oregon, I would watch in a heartbeat. So many others only have mainstream recommendations, and while some are magnificent, it is clear that other pristine spots are not as noticed. You've made such epic recordings of Eagle Cap and Broken Top, that I would love your experience on Opal Creek, Devil's Staircase, Diamond Peak, Mark. O Hatfield (w/ Columbia River Gorge), Sky Lakes, Mt. Jefferson, and Hell's Canyon wildernesses among others. I guarantee that you would do the Columbia River Gorge justice. Anyways, if you read this, I hope my two cents were helpful. I showed my little brother what you found, and we are more excited than ever before.

For context, I've been backpacking for nearly 15 years now and it is my ultimate passion and commitment in life. It is what I do and who I am, to the core. I'm glad to know that this video gives you some added inspiration get out there and be wild. Thank you for the feedback too. Last year was my first year filming and I had ZERO experience with photography/cinematography prior to 2021. I dove into the deep end though, and just started making content that I like. At the end of the day, I want to remember these experiences 30 years from now in a way that's not just through still images. That's how I got here. I'm definitely still working to improve A LOT of different angles to my processes, brand, etc. As for the rest of the Oregon locations, I'm familiar with most of what you referred to, but have only done Hells Canyon. I'm actually intending on going to Hells Canyon again at least once this year. I may be doing the Timberline Trail around Mt. Hood too. There's a 100 lifetimes of hiking in the greater west and it can be sensory overload at times just choosing locations. Now a days though, what dictates where I go is fire season. I'm in E. WA so I can go any direction within 8 hours quite easily, but fires/smoke impact us differently every year as you very well know if you're in OR and so I often won't actually decide where I'm going until as late as the day I leave. Sean, I did this hike during the 3rd week of August. Anytime mid summer on is going to be a good time. Expect lots of people in the summer. I'm certain that fall here is truly outstanding. I may be back in Sept/Oct to see the color changes.
Beautiful video! But I always laugh when I see people do hiking videos and they walk away from the camera, especially if they go a distance. It's hilarious to think about how immediately turn around and have to go pack up the camera gear lol
The first two days he was wearing a spare pair of boots I had in my car...that were 2.5 sizes too small for him 😂😂. About 35 miles in them. Complete trooper. The pain was real for him though. We went on a 90 mile Glacier NP journey 3 weeks later!
@@tweedytreks Had my arches fall after summiting Rainier 3 times in one summer (1997). Finished the summer out with a 50 mile open loop through the Olympics in a pair of mountaineering boots that were 1/2 size to small and it was pretty painful having my toes constantly jammed against the toe end of the boots.
I found you from you comments on Kraig Adams's live stream today and want to follow other creators making hiking videos like me. I've wanted to explore this area for years and still haven't been able to get out there! The filmography and landscapes were both beautiful, thanks for sharing your vision!
