Between This is Monsters, and Somewhere Sinister you my friend are in the top 3 of true crime genre on UA-cam. It goes You, Mr. Ballen, and Mikey from That Chapter. My favorite way to pass time! Thanks for your hard work!
Wtf? The fact that almost every single patient she ever had ended up turning into a skeleton and dying didn't tip her off that her "treatment" wasn't working? This woman was clearly delusional. I realize times were very different back then, but it is mind-boggling that she was able to get away with this for so long. I cannot comprehend how people did not catch on to the fact that she was essentially running a murder house for decades -- or that the very few who did simply didn't do a damn thing about it. What an incredible story. Thanks for sharing, as usual, Sin. Keep up the awesome work, my friend!
I live in Kitsap County, and have been to Starvation Heights. I remember hearing stories of this in the 1980s and finally got out there in the 90s. Claire's cabin was still standing then and in very bad repair. I enjoy the detail and research put into this episode.

I actually grew up in Bremerton. It was just a typo that I never noticed. I fixed it. Thanks for watching!
The best narrator on the Internet love all your content ❤
I had the best neurologist for twenty years, until he retired. 🥺
You've truly outdone yourself with this whole series my friend. I'm from western Washington and each episode is so well researched and enjoyably shared. I'm really excited to see where you take this channel.
The music and video awesome. Like your story telling style. Cheers from chino valley Arizona
I agree with you Rodney Wilson, those 3 are the top of my favourites too,
This is terrifying story! I can’t believe she got away with it for so long! Wow. Great episode, great season. Can’t wait for the next one.
oh my... I live in Union Washington RIGHT down the road from Olalla. Also two days ago got out of a 28 day treatment center 2 days ago that was in Olalla. 🙃 I do just love the PNW & all it's sinister secrets. The Olympic peninsula in particular is one of the most gorgeous places to live. Also many places to hide... secrets.
That rehab center is expensive AF isn't it?
I really like these videos!! Broadens our true-crime horizons!!! Your voice is so uniquely YOU ........ most excellent!! Thank you for delivering top quality!
there's a super in depth documentary by Ask a Mortician about this which was fascinating, thanks for covering this, you always find such interesting topics to cover!
Obsessed with these episodes thank you for your hard work 🐱
Lived in Kitsap county since 1984 and never heard of this place until I was in my mid 20s.
When I was a boy , Tacoma smelt really bad .
Pulp Mill, “aroma of Tacoma “ was the call .
One could actually smell Tacoma in Seattle !
Good ol' Tacoma Aroma. Port Townsend comes close sometimes with the smell.🤣
Now I really know the meaning of the word… ‘hazard’!!! TY… great presentation. 👏
Oh man I love your stories can’t wait for your return!!!!
I didn't know about Mr. Sam Hazzard.. Peuget sound is beautiful.. You should go there.. We were on a boat and traveled thru Georgia straight to all the islands. Clam and Crab fest!!! it was great!!!..
Thanks for the season. Very informative. I'd heard of Linda Hazard before, but not most of the other chapters. Thumbs up for Somewhere Sinister.
She was so evil! How could anyone do this to someone?! 😡
Always well done. Thank you for the entertainment!
OMG I live in this town and I had NO idea, it’s relatively small too. Thank you
I didn't know about it either and I lived in Olalla right by Olalla Grocery for years.
Thanks for the upload Jiles. I googled this : The clinical psychological term for extreme fat-phobia is cacomorphobia. I suspect Hazzard , or, or, yeah, in her sick mind, starvation is a cure for illnesses? Strange .... good video!
Thank you, your videos are always interesting.
I had heard of this case but got some new info and insights. Great job, as always!! Thank you....I'm hooked!😀
Hi ....I love how no matter what material you present it's always weird...scary ...evil....crazy..and I LOVE IT. Thank you ❤️💓
Thank you for this Jiles.
Thank-you all for all of your hard work! I really enjoy this series and love This is Monsters too. I look forward to posts on each channel. ✌😎🤘
I first learned of the kooky health trends of that era, in this sixties book, aptly titled The Nuts Among the Berries.
I’m sure that the two sisters became hypochondriacs and afraid of death when two of their sisters both died of scarlet fever and they were all still so young, they had no comprehension. The “doctor” used and abused and murdered these two women with the scared mindsets of teenagers.
Well said.
We used to go to Ollala to dance at Western Music and dance .
5 seconds in, I’m like YEP. THIS ONE!!! First heard of this story from the channel “Ask a Mortician”. (Can you tell I find dark sh** or what HAAA)
i find this series so interesting!!
Hello from Bremerton. Love your videos
I’m 10 minutes from olalla
The house is still there. You can go see it but it’s a private residence. Locals talked about skeleton people walking the streets trying to get away
Hey, I grew up in Bremerton so I’m familiar with the site. Thanks for watching!
Talk about enabling a monster. It’s difficult to decide who was worse, Hazard or the so called authorities.

Dr. Hazard... Sounds inviting!
Along with Dr. Payne,Dr. Blood, and Dr. Ow.
@@thegreencat9947 Don't forget Dr. Satan (from House of 1000 Corpses)...
@@magnuskallas Now that is one Dr. I would like to forget......Scary dude.
I do a 7 day water only fast on the first of each month and have been doing this beginning at age 25. Even with this being a routine and I'm used to it and enjoy it every much. Still I would not be able nor would I ever think a longer fast would be safe. Although I know a person can safely fast up to 30 days I personally would not attempt it.
Starvation Heights is a pretty decent book. That's the first time I heard of this.
Thank you!!!! I simply love your videos !
Can’t wait for the next season! 🖤🖤
How am I just now learning of this channel? Been watching Monsters for ages.
How cool is this ?!!
Here from Monsters (big fav)
Liked subbed alerted.
Great job man love your work.
Gregg Olsen wrote a great book about this, the house used to be right down the street from my mom, now it's just an overgrown lot. "Patients" used to end up on the lawn of the house down the block 😱
