ONLY A FEW WEEKS LEFT TO PICK UP THE ADVENTURE SHOT WAFFLES SHIRT! After that it's retired, and a new design will take it's place! Get yours: teespring.com/adventure-waffles?pid=2&cid=6568
In my opinion, your enthusiasm sells most of your content. You may not have to think too hard to find content to make through the end of 2020. It’s a dry year for entertainment.
Arizona has been having the skies like that for two weeks now. But this Wednesday we have begun to get the red skies you see over California. Stay safe you two! As well as all other west coasters!
The smoke here kinda smells like an electrical fire, it's so nasty. That being said, the crank cannon fills a niche that not many things have been able to fill, imo I think the pyragon with its 40 round drum is the only thing close, but it's huge compared to the crank cannon.
@@GummyBearRacing maybe but the artemis shoots rival which I personally think has a different flight pattern (roughly) to vortex or other foam disks. It's like throwing a frisbee versus a baseball, both interact with the air to determine their direction, but they do it in different ways
Honestly, I couldnt disagree more about accuracy. True, its not about being a sniper. Its not about flinging foam fast. Its about making your shots count and being smart about where, when, and what you shoot, because you only have a certain number of rounds til youre bone dry and out of luck.
It's still nice that Lanard is still in the game, even if the only place you can pick up their stuff is at a Calendar, Book, and Games store called Go!. I also remember a time when there were official HVZ blasters made by Banzai and Lanard during the N-Strike Era: the 4 shot triple dart shotgun from Lanard and a 8 Round Revolver from Banzai. The latter had the best seal for a Revolver and it had a beefy spring, but it was heavily nerfed because there were slits in the cylinder chambers that gave an effective chamber length of a half an inch. Nowadays, Banzai doesn't have a foam flinging presence since the didn't adopt to the Elite standard and tried to continue with their 25 foot blasters. Even AMAZON doesn't have any Banzai foam blasters, just a few water blasters (and other non-blaster play related stuff). Sadly, adopt or die is how our market is
never heard of this before and I like it. it's really unique to have and use in a war. I think you can use the disks to make more from foam pads the craft foam kind, I just thought of that.
Aw dude, I remember when I was like 8, me and my friends would have nerf battles with a bunch of these disc blasters, and a couple nitefinders, they were the best battles of my life!
My first toy "gun" when I was a wee lad was a Millennium Falcon with a vertical handle out the back that shot these things. They felt super clean and punchy at short range, I loved it. They really start to hook at a distance though. The big issue with these is there's ZERO standardization between them, it's not like 50 cal darts where they pretty much all work with each other. Every single disc gun had a slightly different size.
If someone made a new version that rifles the discs so that they fly straighter with an electric flywheel, this would be amazing. Sadly the crank and the awful ammo makes this tricky to use even in an HvZ. You need at least some accuracy, and the bad ammo coupled with the crank makes this have basically 0.
Y'know, I see that as a sidearm or holdout, but an awesome one. I wouldn't main it, I think range might have its uses, but when close quarters do come out, producing this little blaster and cranking for all you're worth would be very effective, and very surprising.
You should totally checkout the foam section at a craft store and see if you can make your own rounds. Trying a more or less dense foam and seeing results. Just a thought! Have a good one @WalcomS7
So a half dart version of RE4'S TMP is a great choice for HVZ? I'm asking a serious question here Walcom. Also Hope you stay safe with the actual fire outside.
Contemplating making and 3d printing one of these, but a proper electrical system. Maybe use pusher motors for the flywheels to overcome the weight issue of the ammo
Ima need a 150 round tube and the ability to dump that in moments. Thank about it. Dual welding would allow 300 rounds of bouncey disk ammo. Inside a hallway I could drop an entire horde. Plus at my hvz they would count as special ammo and be able to drop mutants!
As far as HvZ, my experience is that unless you are fighting the full hoard, you dont use as much ammo as you think. At least for me, it is much better to carry less than 200 rounds and keep your gear light enough to RUN. At EndWar I fired off 5 shot the entire time and I was around Zeds pretty much constantly. This depends on your play style and such but yanno, worth considering.
I’m a gunsmith with a bunch of real firearms, I don’t nerf at all and only own one which is the new Halo AR. Yet I enjoy watching these videos for whatever reason, they’re super entertaining
We also have nerfsmiths or blastersmiths in our hobby. And it is fun to be able to shoot a projectile inside your home without caring for any damage to a person or an object.
I’m literally only coming back to this video because it was during he time of the wildfires in the west coast (we’re getting some of those in the Empire State now ☹️) but also because I really miss Lanard’s weird and wacky blasters!!
its like a Minature verson of the pyragon! but yeah, Vortex disks and the like are so underrated for HvZ, because they just float there. what they don't have in range, they have in airtime, and it doesn't matter if a dart is in the air for 1 second, or 5, as long as it hits someone before it hits the ground, they're tagged!
Not knowing what the cranking cannon is, that's my bread and butter. I always love exploring the obscure objects from a hobby and finding new life and new purpose with them, this video was a blast
I personally would gravitate more towards a pyragon than the crank cannon because I feel like it would get exhausting to crank it continuously. Obviously the pyragon is bulkier but it’s still fairly efficient with ammo storage and slamfiring it is just the best feeling
My nemesis is still my favorite HVZ primary. Its not the best, nor is it the lightest. It chews through ammo like no tommrow. But when those flywheels roar to life and the balls start sailing,It feels good.
I miss vortex, and I'm going to name-drop vortex every time it gets mentioned even in passing. yes, I know they brought it back but I was an unemployed student with no expendable money when they were kicking around target stores. bring it back again!!
Just wanted to say to keep up the good work! I love the videos on older blasters! They've opened up a whole new world of thrifting stuff for me! Thanks again!
It's the bastard offspring of the boomco crankforce and the vortex pyragon, both of which would be nice for hvz as well, albeit a bit bigger. Nice find!
Do people not know nerf blasters that shoot discs exist? The vortex line was a thing twice over, like, come on. Also, hyper and the ultra one could have a place. They go far but aren’t accurate, but the ultra one has 25 darts that should probably take out some special zombies. And hyper has a crap ton of rounds. And can go pretty fast if you want.
How much torque would that crank mechanism need? Better yet, do we have any hobby motors capable of running that without needing to have a gearbox stuck to it? It COULD be a very interesting little sidearm, but the manual cranking is a disadvantage if you're gonna use this as an "OH ZOG" sort of blaster in HvZ, because the time taken to actually crank it could get you tagged. But, if it were semiautomatic AND electrically cranked... It could suddenly be a lot MORE viable.
There's two Supermaxx Disc Shooters. I have the second one, it's pump action and barely on the internet. Only info I found was a small info page, BBB having one at one of Xavier's mod parties, and you getting one as a gift. Please include it in the Tag Back!
I used to have a disc shooter that only requires you to pull the trigger and it fires That thing was awesome, because it has 3 different internal magazine But, I lost all of the discs in like 2 days :(
WS7 Now that is a neat blaster. Thanks gor taking us through this unconventional blaster. Keep up the great work. Your videos are so much fun. Thank you for being awesome.

I love the shirt. I am the one who came up with the name of the “Waffle” tip darts. I coined the term while test-reviewing the prototypes for a Chinese company I found on Amazon. My review ended up getting deleted and reappeared under another person’s name. But soon after the Waffle darts reappeared under the name I came up with. I have a chuckle now and then every time I see someone calling them that. Lol, I need this shirt.
