Gotta be honest, I much prefer the videos shot in your basement to the new studio. Nothing wrong with the new place but the basement just has a feel to it, like hanging out at a friends house.
Hey Terry, what I would suggest is take that 8 input audio interface over to your practice spot with your Macintosh. Record kick with a dynamic microphone either RE 20 or aKG d112, snare drum with a shure SM 57 or other dynamic microphone. Overhead with a small condenser microphone pointing towards your drums but away from the guitar amps and bass amp. Record the bass with a direct box into the audio interface. Record the guitar with either or direct box or with a sm 57 on the guitar cabinet. Record the vocals with the SM 58 or like microphone into into a microphone preamp splitting to the PA and recording interface. Or try moises ai mixer after the performance then you can adjust the drums bass guitar and vocal separately.
Thanks Terry. I needed this today....might I be so audacious as to recommend a Remo Muff for your snare. I use them on all of mine. I love them. Makes me feel like a drum tech for the late Neil Peart.
I really like the snare sound here, I muffle the bejesus outta mine when playing, for a really warm and booming tone, that's why I love Ludwig Acro's, 400's and Premier Signia Maple snares, the type with thin maple shells and re-rrings, beautiful as always!!
You have such great feel (timing). I gotta admit though I really miss the giant octo 8 tom set you were jamming on! Have you ever used a marching snare like some of the metal bands used back in the 80's? Keep it up man!!
I missed the old Bonzoleum Studios .... just like coming home ,
Nice classic Bonzoleum video in the original studios! MORE MORE MORE!
Thanks F!

Love the OG studio. Many great memories. The vasectomy episode.

Tape on the snare? Milk crates for a thrown sit? The sound and looks of the new drummers to learn.😂
Crates are very comfortable and vent hot sweaty areas very well.
@@mcadeemcnasty2460my ass disagrees haha I'll take a roc n soc any day haha
I have both!
🔥🥁🙏😎
You're one crazy dude and I love it! Been watching you for years and love all the old stories. Thoroughly entertaining Terry!

Sitting on a milk crate throne helps support good prostate health 🚽
You can't find a $50 throne on Marketplace for the house? I have 3 at my place. LOL
Terry, do you need a throne bro or is that your preferred seating?
How was your Father's Day, Terry Keating? This was a welcome lift for me for this Sunday evening! 🙂
🤟

Thanks Warped! Like Michael Lee! I've played one on someone's kit a couple times.
Would it be sacrilege to try a wider after market set of snare strands on a old snare??
Absolutely not.
Happy father's day to all the dad dudes out there!!! Hopefully everyone had an awesome day 💯🤓🥁
what a chair.
