Step 1. Push off from the side of the pool
Step 2. Propel the water with your hand

Cool, I do a two-handed version of this to start instead of the wall. Start with a push away with right hand and pull toward with left hand fairly shallow in the water, that both spiral downward into a similar downward push-pull with one or two hands to sustain! Two hand version is harder to coordinate, but bigger funnel results!
