" AALOO GOSHT II " Bajias Cooking

  • Ingredients: 1 medium onion, ½ cup cooking oil, ¾ kg lamb meat, 1 whole garlic, 1 ¼ ts full salt, 1ts cumin seeds, 1ts coriander powder, ½ ts turmeric powder and 1ts full chilli powder, 1 tomato, 2 md-large sz potatoes, 3½ cups water and fresh coriander
    Note: In very watery dishes such as like aaloo gosht shorbha use 1¼ts of salt, curry dishes you need 1ts salt and dishes which does not have that much curry and is a pasty dish you need ¾ ts

    Wow Bajia, today I made your recipe and my family LOVED IT! Whenever I attempted aloo gosht in past it has always come out dark brown mashed, so I stopped making it. Thankyou so much for teaching us British born girls how to cook properly. I have followed you for few years and learnt how to make roti properly by watching your video, May Allah give barkat in everything you do, Ameen.

    OH MY GOD ! i have found the best continental, italian, spanish and french recipe videos on youtube but you are the first muhglai/pakistani/indian recipe chef i have liked. I have been looking for your recipes for years now. I miss my nana so much .... she used to cook just like you. Gosh! these recipes are sooo amazing. I really get tears in my eyes when you speak and when you explain hows to cook. thank you soo much .. i love you !!!

      thanks, this channel was started just by leaving a recipe for a friend, I had no time but continued just because I myself felt a need that its time that someone save these traditional recipes.

    Your Urdu is very civilized and extremely articulate......trust me......a vast majority of the time,I don't even pay attention to your recipe.......but only listen to your soft spoken Urdu.....👍👍👍

    Thank you Bajia. I live in USA and find your recepies easy to follow. I have made Karhi, noodles, chicken hara masala and this dish. Everything turned out soooo good😋. My husband very impressed ! And he is not easily impressed. Thanks a lot for sharing these wonderful and age old recepies.

    Just tried it. Turned out good. Bajia suggests 3 minutes pressure but that got me a little tough meat. I added 3 more minutes of pressure. I hope it becomes more tender. I wonder if the meat needs to be falling off the bone or needs to be a little firmer for this dish! If anyone who knows this dish, please reply to my comment

    I make aloo gosht in pressure cooker as well but whenever I make it the onions and tomatoes are still visible and the shorba doesn't look smooth. If I bhoon it too much then salan gets dark. What am I doing wrong? Am I using too much onions and tomatoes?
